John Mellencamp’s son wants him to quit smoking so much so that he started a Facebook group to get him to do it. Speck Mellencamp, 14, made a deal with his dad that he if got 1,000,000 people to join the group that his dad would quit smoking. John suffered a heart attack 15 years ago and quitting smoking would really prolong his life. Heck even if he didn’t have a heart attack quitting smoking will greatly extend his life.
I have seen John Mellencamp in concert a few times and he is one of the best performers out there, so I am being completely selfish and I want him to quit smoking just so I can see him a few times more.
As a former smoker, I know quitting isn’t easy but it is the best thing I ever did. So please become a fan of Speck’s group 1,000,000 to join, my dad john mellencamp will quit smoking and let’s get John Mellencamp to stop lighting up!
FX announced today that Nip/Tuck’s series finale will air on March 3rd. After 100 episodes the show that changed the face (pun intend) of television will say goodbye. There was a time I would be really upset about this, but the show lost its way big time when they moved from Miami to LA and I just watched the show because I am a loyal viewer. Each week gets weirder and weirder that it is harder and harder to watch, so I am happy that the end is near. Granted on March 2nd I will probably be upset about it, but I am sure I will be over it by March 4th. Are you sad to see this show go?
FX also announced that the third season Damages will start on January 25th. They will also be debuting 2 new shows early next year Archer on January 14th, Justified in March and Louie this spring.
Before Gina Gershon was a Showgirl, she was playing volleyball in her high school gym class in Pretty in Pink. Although I have seen that movie hundreds of times, I never realized the 23 year old in 1986 was Gina Gershon. She looks the same, but I just never noticed her before.
Bye Bye Birdie will be saying goodbye to Broadway on January 24th according to Variety. That closing date is also same day that John Stamos and Gina Gershon are scheduled to leave the show. Although the show played to near packed houses, without them being part of the show the sales sharply declined and they had no other option but to close the show. So I guess you can say without the two of them, the show won’t go on.
