TNT’s Men of a Certain Age is story about 3 middle aged guys living life, and you don’t have to be a middle aged man to love this show that premieres tonight at 10p. The show stars Ray Romano, Scott Bakula and Andre Braugher as three life long friends dealing with everyday life and getting through it all together.
Ray Romano plays Joe a recently separated father of two living in a hotel who owns a party store and his marriage came to an end because of his gambling addiction. Scott Bakula plays Terry a never been married actor working a temp job who dates women almost half his age. Andre Braugher plays Owen a married father of three young kids who hates working as a car salesmen for his father’s dealership. Together these friend laugh at the good times and help each other through the bad ones.
Every day the three get up early and go for a hike and then they have breakfast at Norm’s and talk about their lives. Then they go their separate ways, work their jobs and we learn more about each of them. Joe is struggling to make it on his own without his wife, but throughout it all he is a good dad to his teenage kids. Terry is trying to get his next acting job while he looks for the next woman date. And then there is Owen who gets beaten down by dad everyday he goes to work and is hoping to some day to stand up to him and his kiss a$$ co-worker Marcus.
During the first three episodes we see Joe struggle with dating again, Terry stands up to bad drivers in a way that we all wish we could, Owen deals with his health his issues that come with getting older and finally finding those balls between his legs. There are some great male bonding moments between the three and the people in their lives. The best part about it, is the show feels real and you can see the scenarios happening in your everyday life, but you are glad that some of them you don’t. Plus what a freaking cast! I personally have had a crush on Scott Bakula since Quantum Leap. Ray Romano had a show everyone loved! Andre Braugher is always amazing in everything he does.
All in all Men of a Certain Age is an enjoyable show that everyone can enjoy! So check it out tonight and every Monday at 10p for a show that brings bromance into the middle ages.
BTW as I was told before I watched the three episodes I got to review the show that I should stick with it past the pilot because it is a little slower than the rest of the episodes and I am so glad I did. I sincerely enjoyed this show and I know you will too!
50 Cent told the Mirror he wants to work on a song with Susan Boyle! You read that right, the top-selling rapper wants to work on a track with Britain’s Got Talent runner-up.
“Susan Boyle is hot right now. I got to get her on a track, for real. We’d make a hit.
“Everyone is talking about her, the lady from Britain’s Got Talent.
“She’s got an amazing voice, and together we’d get everyone dancing. I’m always looking to do something new and she’s cool, so I’ll ask somebody to let her know.â€

Could you imagine what the song would sounf like? You know what it might actually work. But them going to clubbing together, not so much.
Rivers Cuomo and his assistant suffered minor injuries early this morning when the Weezer tour bus skidded on some ice and lost control according to WSYR.
State Police say the tour bus, registered to Night Train Coach, was about 40 miles west of Albany and traveling to Boston when it slid on some ice on the roadway. The bus skidded into the median and then back across the east bound lanes, through the guardrail, and came to a rest in a ditch along the right shoulder of the thruway.
The lead singer and his assistant were transported to a hospital in Amsterdam, NY. Rivers wife and 2 year old daughter were also on the bus, and they are both uninjured.
The band is suppose to play Boston tomorrow, no word yet if that gig was cancelled.
BTW is wrong for me to wonder if he was wearing a Weezer Snuggie at the time of the crash?

UPDATE: Karl just posted an update on Weezer.com that Rivers suffered 3 cracked ribs and sustained some mostly minor but very painful internal damage, as well as hurting his lower leg somehow. He also added that the tour has been cancelled because of the accident. Hopefully Rivers will be better soon.

In a rare public outing, new parents Sarah Michelle Gellar and Freddie Prinze Jr were actually seen together. The couple who have been married for 7 years are very rarely seen out with one another. Maybe now that cameras caught them this one time, maybe soon we will see them with their 2 month old daughter Charlotte Grace?
