Madeline Stowe plays Patricia, a social worker who son died from a car accident two years earlier around Christmas and she is on the verge of losing her marriage too. Emily Adams is a little girl who just lost her mom to a car accident and Patricia has to take her in because the shelters are filled up. Patricia also just fostered a baby who is sick and she brings it to the doctor who took care of her son before he died. Ian Ziering plays Dr Andrews and he has a gift for the family whose son died two years earlier but he doesn’t remember who they are until Patricia comes in with the baby. Together these people all find each other and change each others’ lives for the better and in a way they change ours by watching them. The Christmas Hope is a sweet story that will make you cry, but leave you with hope that the littlest act of kindness can change someone’s life for the better. So open The Christmas Hope tonight at 8p on Lifetime Movie Network for a movie that will keep on giving after this Christmas in a distance memory.
Get your kleenex ready for the amazing feel good movie Hallmark Channel’s Christmas in Canaan that will leave you crying in an inspirational way tonight at 8p. Christmas in Canaan is the story of two boys in the pre-civil right days in South, one white and one African American. When the two of them get into a fight, the father of the white one and the grandmother of the African-American one force them to spend a week together. When the white boy’s racist neighbor shoots a dog the two boys who refuse to get along find a reason to bond and form a life long friendship. A friendship that becomes like family when the African-American boy’s grandmother dies when he is a teen and he moves with the white family that includes his friend’s father, grandfather, his friend and a younger brother and sister. They are barely making ends meat and when it comes time for Christmas there is barely any money for presents so Billy Ray Cyrus comes up with Some Christmas that will have you balling your eyes out and want you to have a Some Christmas over a regular one. So much more goes on, but I seriously suggest watching to movie to see it all play out. This movie touched me so much I am crying thinking about so many well acted scenes in the movie. This is a must watch movie because in a time when people hated each other because of the color of their skin, there were people that were color blind and we should be more like them and not forget how far we have come in just 40 years.
Billy Ray Cyrus told us his manager turned down the role because he was busy with other projects, but he asked to read the script and once he did he knew he had to do the movie and I am so glad that he did. Billy Ray plays such a good guy in the movie with an an amazing heart that it almost feels as though he is not acting and he is playing himself. The good guy that Billy Ray Cyrus is really translates into this role and I really hope he gets an Emmy nom because he is so freaking amazing in this role in this excellent movie. So who was Billy Ray’s inspiration for the movie? It was his father in the ’60s and he told us that he put pictures of his father on his script so he could really capture his essence. If that is what his father was like, he is the type of guy you really wish you had in your life. And Christmas in Canaan is the type of movie you will be glad that you made part of your life when you watch it tonight on the Hallmark Channel at 8p!
Hey all you gamers put your games on pause at 8p and tune into Spike TV for the Video Game Awards to find out what were the best games of 2009 and get a preview of what you will be playing 2010!!!

Plus they will be premiering never before scenes from 3 upcoming movies in 2010 like Prince of Persia, Medal of Honor and Crackdown 2.
Not a gamer tnan there are some pretty cool celebrity gamers who be there to present the awards like the Jersey Shore kids, Mike “The Situation†Sorrentino, Jenni “J-Woww†Farley, Nicole “Snooki†Polizzi and Pauly Delvecchio, and people not from the Jersey Shore Jake Gyllenhaal, Olivia Wilde, Jack Black, Forrest Griffin, Mark Hamill, Tony Hawk, Samuel L. Jackson, Mike Tyson, Alyssa Milano, Zachary Quinto, Luc Robitaille, Stephen A. Smith, Tricia Helfer, Jason Hall, Joseph Kosinski, Sean Bailey, Felicia Day, Kimbo Slice. BTW did I mention that kids from Jersey Shore are going to be there and they are as a good as a game that you can’t stop playing. Plus Snoop Dogg and The Bravery are performing.
So whether you are gamer or not Spike TV’s VGA 09 has something for everyone to enjoy so check it out at 8p! And let’s be real Spike TV really knows how to put on an awards show, so much so I wish they would take over the Oscars.
BTW did I mention that Spike VGA 09 is live so that means that anything can happen…and it will probable will!!!
UPDATE: Below are the winners of the biggest awards show of its kind and what an awards show it was. Spike knows how to throw and an awards show better than any other network and the VGA 09 didn’t disappoint. What I also love about Spike and why I think they get the huge names to present at their shows is that they honor things we care about that no one else does. Whether it is best horror or Sci Fi movie or TB show or best game, Spike honors what the average person cares about instead of artsy fartsy movies most people will never see!!!
Before yesterday’s VGA 09 I have to admit I left gaming to my friends, but I have totally changed my opinion. All the game creators there were so cool and down to earth and made gaming sound cool that over the week I will be posting the interviews I did with.
Now when it comes to Spike on January 12th they will be debuting Blue Mountain State and I can’t wait for this show that is so going to be touchdown!!! C’mon you gotta love a show where the mascot is a goat!!!

Before Judd Hirsch was driving a Taxi, he was a DJ for Listerine. Gotta love the suit the 36 year old wore in that 1971 commercial.
Here is a bonus, he loved the suit so much he wore it again 3 years later for an American Lung Association PSA.
