Chris Pine is a second generation Hollywood actor, but it wasn’t until he took on the role of Captain Kirk in Star Trek that he finally made a name for himself. How much of a name? Well according to Variety he is in talks to be the fourth actor to play Jack Ryan in The Art of Making Money. The role has been previously played Oscar nominees Alec Baldwin and Harrison Ford and Oscar winner Ben Affleck, so it is not a bad company of actors to be part of. I hope he signs on for the role because there is just something so likable about him and I would like to see him in this type of role.
Variety said if he becomes the next Jack Ryan, they are unsure what he would film he film first the Tom Clancy one or Star Trek 2. I am kind of hoping for ST2 because I don’t want to wait to long for that sequel to come out. When did I become such a Trekkie?
Nip/Tuck is back for its 6th season tonight on FX at 10p and what a season it is going to be. The show starts off a short time after the season finale and we find out what is the future for Christian and Liz’s marriage now that he is in remission. Yeah, just as you can expect it’s over between them, what you don’t see coming is what a bitch Liz becomes! You go girl, for finally putting Christian in his place and boy does she do it. Sean continues his bad decision making when it comes to women and blood will be shed. The guys are also hard up for money and they are making changes, like bringing Mario Lopez on and specializing in a certain type of plastic surgery. You will have to watch to see what it is because it is a good one. Kimber is also having money problems and chooses a new profession, something that is pretty desperate until Christian tries to go into business with her for something I would totally want. Matt wants to be a mime and if that spells trouble for him. As you can see from trailer above, he needs money more than his two dads and his ex and he will get himself in trouble again.
The one thing about Nip/Tuck that never changes is just how out there it and this season is no different. So check out Nip/Tuck tonight and every Wednesday at 10p on FX for a beautiful show with some not so pretty stroylines and that is just how we love it!!!
For years Michael Jackson's kids were hidden behind masks and pretty much silent to us, and now Us Weekly is reporting not only will the be unmasked but they will be part of his brothers reality show on A&E. By having them on the show we will finally hear them talk, something that we have very rarely heard before.
While most of the public (including me) will finally be happy to hear from Prince, 12, Paris, 11, and Blanket, 7, not everyone is happy that they are part of the show. Us Weekly says, "Eldest sister Rebbie, 59, who has refused to be in the series (called The Jacksons: A Family Dynasty, tentatively set to air in December), 'feels Michael would spin in his grave if he knew his kids would be on this show.'" I can understand her point of view because he really liked to keep his private, but having them on during the 5 hours reality show actually makes we want to watch it for the first time. Would you watch just for them like me?
The Live Feed posted this really interesting list of the median ages of the viewers of all the new network shows.
Good Wife – 57
Three Rivers – 57
NCIS: Los Angeles – 56
The Forgotten – 55
Mercy – 55
Hank – 55
Jay Leno Show – 53
The Middle – 51
Trauma – 50
FlashForward – 50
Eastwick – 49
Modern Family – 47
Accidentally on Purpose – 47
Brothers – 46
Cougar Town – 46
Community – 39
Glee – 37
Vampire Diaries – 32
Melrose Place – 30
Cleveland Show – 28
Since the two oldest skewing shows have already been picked up, I wonder if that means the next 5 on the list that haven’t been will get the ax because their viewer median ages are all over 50? While the news might not be good for them I am wondering if because Trauma is doing better than Leno and Mercy if that makes the show any safer than it was without that age. I also hope that because Accidentally on Purpose is below 50 unlike the other three new shows on CBS that they will get the back 9 order ASAP since it is such a good show and they are averaging younger! I also find it interesting that Melrose’s median age is 30, you would think it would be higher because you would think all the people who watched it in the ’90s would raise the age, but I guess now. So which show’s median age surprised you the most?
