TLC and Jon want Kate Gosselin
September 29th, 2009 under DIscovery Networks/Discovery+. [ Comments: 2 ]

TLC announced today that Jon & Kate Plus 8 will go on, but without Jon. Starting on November 2, Kate Plus 8 will make its debut and here is how TLC described the updates show, “The series will continue to chronicle the Gosselin family as they go on outings and tackle daily challenges and adventures. It will also document Kate’s journey as a newly single mother raising 5 year-old sextuplets and 8 year-old twins.” I don’t think I could watch a half hour of just her and the kids. Her voice alone is enough for me to switch the channel.
Maybe because TLC has written him out of the show or he has had a change of heart, but according to Life & Style he is going file papers to postpone his divorce for 90 days.

He explains, “This will enable Kate and me to restore our relationship as cooperative parents and to open up our lines of communication. I hope that she will be as receptive and enthusiastic as I am to do what is best for our family.” He also pleaded with her to set aside their anger so they can start interacting amicably. “I would like to get back with Kate as a partner in parenting,” Jon tells In Touch. “Even though we were heading for a divorce, it appeared that Kate had been suffering from this divorce as much as I had. That’s why I asked my attorney to put the brakes on this divorce so I could try to regain control over the future of our family. So Kate and I could join on a cooperative course that would benefit our family — not destroy it.”

Could you imagine if these two got back together?
Hopefully by November 3rd we will be done with these two and we will move on past them, but I highly doubt it.

Conan O’Brien shows off his accident
September 29th, 2009 under Conan O'Brien. [ Comments: 1 ]

On Friday night Conan O’Brien suffered a concussion when a stunt he was doing with Teri Hatcher went wrong. Last night on NBC’s The Tonight Show, he showed the accident and explained all that went down (no pun attended) afterwards. I have to admit, I laughed but I felt guilty because it sounded pretty serious. But c’mon it was funny and I had to watch it over and over again. BTW I wonder if sliding on the floor like that caused the bald spot? Too soon?
BTW Andy Richter seems like a real stand-up guy by the way he handled it all.

Can two soaps be on the outs?
September 29th, 2009 under TV Soaps. [ Comments: 8 ]

(Photo © ABC)

Less than two weeks ago Guiding Light ended its run and now comes word that two more soaps might be cancelled next year. The Soapgeist says that the only reason why One Life to Live is still on the air is because The Aisha Tyler Show tested so poorly. If the show doesn’t pick up the ratings soon, ABC won’t be picking it up after next year. Over at CBS, As The World Turns is also rumored to be getting the ax soon. I wonder if their fate will be determined on how well Let’s Make A Deal does. If game shows make a comeback will more soaps be going away? I really hope not because I don’t know what I would do without Days of our Lives and General Hospital.

UPDATE: I am not very happy with General Hospital right now because they are replacing Greg Vaughn with the original Lucky, Jonathan Jackson according to TV Guide. Seriously what is wrong with Greg? I would rather they got rid of Elizabeth Webber, when was the last time her character actually added anything to the show? All she does is whine and act like whoa is me. Kind of like how I fell now after reading Greg Vaughn’s Tweets/

As of today, with sad regrets, I will no longer be apart of what has been a big part of me and my families life. GH and TPTB have choosen to take a new direction. I THANK ALL of YOU, for the many memories we’ve shared and new ones to come!!! ALL MY LOVE, & BIG HUGS to YOU the FANS!!! I LOVE YOU ALL MORE!!!! GV

Was there some biases on DWTS because Baz Luhrmann was a Judge?
September 29th, 2009 under Baz Luhrmann, Dancing with the Stars. [ Comments: none ]

First off I will start by saying I loved Baz Luhrmann as a Judge on Dancing with the Stars and I kind of wish that he replaces one or at least all three of the judges that are currently on the show. The show had a much better feel and smoother without Len. It just didn’t seem like the Judges were as confrontational and Bruno was so much more subdued and tolerable. So maybe Len Goodman is the problem? Even though it is the other two I don’t like. What did you think of him as a Judge?
Now when it comes to the biases? I don’t think it was fair that Maksim Chmerkovskiy and Debi Mazar danced to the Roxanne version that was featured in Moulin Rouge. C’mon they were looking to win him over by dancing to that version, luckily he didn’t go for that and scored them with most of the other pack. Now the high scorer of the night, Mya had an unfair advantage when it comes to him. She was in the Lady Marmalade video (the only thing most of us know her for) from his movie Moulin Rogue, so he obviously worked with her before DWTS. I don’t think his scores should be counted for her because of that. What do you think?
