CBS gets in costume for Let’s Make a Deal!!!
August 3rd, 2009 under CBS. [ Comments: 1 ]

CBS announced today they are bringing back Let’s Make a Deal on October 5th with Wayne Brady as the host. The hour long game show will be filling Guiding Light’s slot. Although the show has a new host the original host Monty Hall will be a consultant on the new version. What was cool about the press conference is that the original host told stories about the evolution of Let’s Make a Deal. Costumes were not part of the first two weeks of the show when it first started, but one day a woman made a sign saying to pick her and he did. The next week 500 people made signs and then came the costumes and those as we know stuck. When asked what his favorite costume was, he told the story of a woman whose husband was an electrical engineer, made a costume for her with a stage with 3 doors and a mini Monty Hall that went in and out of the doors and even with this most awesome costume she was not a contestant on the show and she would not let him keep her brilliant attire.
But enough about the past, the new version will have the feel of the old one but will bring it into the new millennium! I personally think that Wayne Brady is the perfect host for the show because he has a natural ability to relate to his audience. In fact that is something he brought up, he says he tailors his humor to his audience. So the jokes he will be telling on the CBS daytime show will not be the same ones he tells at his Vegas show. Which is not something everyone can do and that is why he is so good at what he does!
So tune in and dress up for CBS’s Let’s Make a Deal on October 5th!

Craig Feguson to get rid of the Late Late Show puppets?
August 3rd, 2009 under Craig Ferguson. [ Comments: 1 ]

Last week it was announced that the Shark is the most popular puppet of the Late Late Show puppets, and today when Craig Ferguson was asked if he got a swelled head he made a shocking announcement. The Late Late Show host said that he is thinking of getting rid of them. He said that when he gets bored of them that he will dump them. All I have to say to that is…Nooooooo. Please Craig keep them, I understand that you need a change but why the poor innocent puppets.
Besides hosting his talk show he has a book coming out on September 22nd called American on Purpose: The Improbable Adventures of an Unlikely Patriot. He said the book it is an autobiography and he joked that he can’t wait to read it. He also said that he doesn’t remember a lot of things from his past and he made it up in his book and he admits that openly in the opening pages. The other thing he admitted openly is that he is proud to be an American and that is why he doesn’t make fun of it on the show. We need more people like him in this country! Just for that us natural born citizens should watch him every night on CBS at 12:35a to be reminded of that, well that and because he is so darn funny and you never know what he is going to do on the show. In fact he doesn’t even know what he is going to do on the show. (Ferguson is known for improving his show.) He mentioned during the press conference, the reason why he doesn’t Twitter is because “he has a f*cking hour to fill every night.” As avid viewer of the show he fills that f*cking hour up perfectly!!!
Don’t forget to check out Craig and his puppets (while you can) every week night at 12:35a on CBS!!!

I so want to go to Quentin Tarantino’s house!!!
August 3rd, 2009 under Quentin Tarantino. [ Comments: none ]

(photo from Wired)
Before Quentin Tarantino was an Oscar winner, he worked at a video store called Manhattan Beach Video Archives. The Inglourious Basterds writer/director tells the AAP that when they went out of business he bought their inventory and added it to his own massive collection.

"I've got a big, big library – I actually never count my collections because I'm almost afraid to know the figure," he said.

"I literally have two different rooms in my house, that are like a video store, in fact they're like my old video store, they're even on the same shelves that were at Video Archives.

"I've never gotten rid of them, it would be sacrilege to get rid of them."

Seriously after reading this I so want to go to his house and check out what movies he has. It sounds like he has rarities that are not available on DVD or anywhere else and would be so much fun to see the films that he owns that you can't see anywhere else. I think for me I would totally be like a kid in candy store playing in those two rooms!!! Wouldn't you be?

BTW don't forget his WWII epic Inglourious Basterds is coming out on August 21st, a movie I know I will be adding to my collection!!!

UPDATE: Here is the latest TV spot for Inglourious Basterds and with each promo I see it makes me want to see the movie more and more!!!

Jennifer Love Hewitt puts on black bikini again!!!
August 3rd, 2009 under Jennifer Love Hewitt. [ Comments: none ]

About a year and a half ago Jennifer Love Hewitt was photographed in a black bikini with her then fiance' and she took a lot of a slack for putting on a few pounds. Even with the criticism she handled it with class and maturity. Fast forward to this weekend with a new boyfriend along on the vacation, she once again put on a black bikini, but this time I don't expect anyone to say she needs to lose any weight! The Ghost Whisperer star looks amazing in that bikini. Now I have to find that magazine where she explains how she got her figure back because I want to know the secret!!! It obviously worked, not that I thought she needed to lose weight the first time.
