There is a new chief (Kirshner Sinclair) in the 90210 zip and she making some changes according to EW’s Michael Ausiello.
The writer-producer also plans to rely less on 90210 vets such as Jennie Garth, Shannen Doherty, and Tori Spelling to boost ratings. “The show tried to be a lot of things to a lot of people in its first season,” she conceded. “I think the center lies with the generation of kids that are in high school now. I’m not interested in casting people for stunt value.
Tori, Shannen and Jennie won’t be the only ones missing next season, so will Dustin Milligan who plays Ethan. I guess if you are girlfriendless on the show, you are no longer needed. And when it comes to the alumni, I think it is a big mistake she is getting rid of their guest appearance. Shannen has been the best part of the show, after AnnaLynne McCord of course.
Tomorrow I will talk more about the changes this new person has made to the show, and so far I can’t say I like them.
Andy Hallett who was best known as Lorne on Angel, past away today at 33 from heart disease according to Watch with Kristin. The talented actor had been suffering from heart disease for 5 years. I loved him on the show, he was just so brilliant.
33 years old is way too young to die, but thanks to Angel he will live on forever.
The longest-running soap on television might be coming to an end on TV according to TV Week.
While no final decision has been made, the network’s deal for the Procter & Gamble-produced dramaâ€â€the least watched of the eight daytime serials currently on the airâ€â€ends in September. But if CBS does drop “Guiding Light,†it likely would lock in a decision within the next month, people familiar with the matter said. That would give writers a chance to tie up storylines.
The article goes on to say that CBS is shopping around the timeslot to see what they can get to fill it. With names like Marie Osmond and Valerie Bertinelli signing on for talk shows, I think Guiding Light’s days are numbered on TV. I keep saying on TV because TV Week says the show might live on on the net. Would you still watch it online?
Before Alyssa Milano was Tony’s daughter on Who’s The Boss? and a good witch on Charmed, she was the little sister in pigtails in Old Enough. How adorable was the 11 year actress in her first film role back in 1984.
BTW if you have never seen Old Enough, make sure to catch it the next time it is on TV. It is a sweet movie that never ages!
