Mel Brook's Musical Young Frankenstein is closing it doors on January 4th after almost 500 performances according to Broadway World.
"Once again it has been a joy to work with such tremendous talents, Mel Brooks and Susan Stroman. Young Frankenstein's magnificent creative team and cast are second to none. As anyone who has seen this stunning production can attest, it is a spectacular and extravagant musical. In these uncertain economic times, my partners and I have decided to end our run on Broadway and focus our efforts on the first national tour, which will launch in September 2009," said Young Frankenstein's lead producer, Robert F.X. Sillerman.
There were rumors that Cloris Leachman was going to take on the role she originated in the movie Frau Blucher (neeiigghhh!), but I guess that isn't going to happen now.
Personally I am shocked the show lasted as long as it did with the high prices they were charging for seats. Next months YF, Spamalot, Hairspray and 13 are all having their final curtains, maybe Broadway needs to reconsider the cost of the tickets if they want the audiences to come back. Even with TKTS, I can't afford to go to a show anymore.
Seriously who dresses Beyonce and her sister Solange and tell them that they look good? Seriously those Fringe sunglasses are the dumbest shades I have ever seen and we have all seen some really weird sunglasses. And what is up with those hat and makeup?
I guess Beyonce will blame all these recent fashion faux pas on her alter ego Sasha Fierce, but we all know they are both one in the same and both are full of bad ideas.

After waiting 18 months 24 fans will scream for joy when they watch 24: Redemption tonight at 8p on Fox. Fans of 24 will not be disappointed, and you don’t have to be a fan to like this action-filled two hour movie.
Jack Bauer is Africa running from a subpoena and helping a friend protect several boys from being turned into killers. Back in the US a female is about to be sworn in as President as a coup is happening back in Africa. Jack’s camp is being taken over and he needs to hide the boys and get them to safety. How far will he go to save the boys and what will he have to give up for them?
I am not a fan of 24, but I love 24: Redemption and I can’t wait for 24 to return in January!!!
