Ghost Whisper is the only television show that was effected by Sunday's fire at Universal Studios Hollywood. Executive Producer Kim Moses released this statement about the fire and production of Season 4 of Ghost Whisperer on CBS.
In regards to the unfortunate fire that took place this weekend on the Universal back lot, we would like to thank those emergency responders who so bravely and effectively handled the situation. Despite damage to some of the exterior “Ghost Whisperer” sets, we plan to begin production for Season 4 on time, so that the show can premiere as scheduled this fall. Everyone at “Ghost Whisperer” thanks you for your concern and support.
If you look at the top picture, the GW's exterior set is the part in red around the courthouse. In fact you can see the town square war memorial that has played a major role in several GW episodes. The Same As It Never Was store exterior suffered fire damage, but the interior is on a different part of the lot so it is OK!
It is good to see that the show will back on its regularly scheduled Friday this fall and the fire did not put the show's season at risk. Now I wonder if they will incorporate the fire into a storyline???
Best of luck to everyone on the Ghost Whisperer set to getting things back to normal.
The first legal same-sex celebrity marriage in California gets a date!!! George Takei and his partner of over 21 years, Brad Altman have set the date of September 24th to legally tie the knot at the Japanese American National Museum according to People! Takei will beam up some of his Star Trek buddies to be part of the ceremony, the best man is Walter Koenig, who played Chekov, Nichelle Nichols is the matron of honor and Leonard Nimoy is on the guest list.
BTW he also told People the sweet story how he got engaged!
"We knew that the (California State) Supreme Court was going to be coming down with their ruling" legalizing gay marriage, Takei said. "(We'd heard) that it was probably going to be positive. So I was planning on asking Brad to get married. "We were at home in the kitchen and we had the TV going, and when the word came down suddenly Brad got on his knees in front of me," Takei continued. "And I said, 'What are you doing?' He said, 'George, will you marry me?' I said 'Yes. You beat me to it. I meant to ask you.'" Takei had something less impromptu in mind: "I wanted to have it happen in a bit more dignified way." But he's "ecstatic" to be getting married, nevertheless, he said.
Mazel tov to George and Brad and to all the same-sex couples throughout California who can legally get married now!
Thriving Ivory‘s debut major label album is not coming out until June 24th, but VH1 has so much faith in them they have selected them as a “You Oughta Know” band. Angles on the Moon is the first single off the Thriving Ivory’s self-titled album and just listening to that song you can see why VH1 wants us to know them. But if you really want to hear why they were chosen check out Thriving Ivory’s MySpace page and listen to some of the great melodic songs off the new album.
The shiny version of the CD will only be avail for the first two months at Best Buy as part of the “Find ‘Em First” campaign and as a bonus you will receive a card that will unlock a 5 song live EP of theirs!
Thriving Ivory is a definitely a band we will get to know, but get to know them before everyone else does!
A week after announcing that David Cook's CD is coming out this fall, RCA Records put the American Idol's CD up for pre-order on Amazon even though there is no release date. At first glance it sounds like a bad idea, but considering the album is already #2 on the Amazon charts…maybe it wasn't!!! I am so pre-ordering this because I can't wait to hear how it turns out!
