Mario Batali tries to teach a drunk Jimmy Kimmel and Danny Devito to cook
September 29th, 2007 under Danny DeVito, Jimmy Kimmel. [ Comments: none ]

What you didn’t see is that before this segment Danny Devito and Jimmy Kimmel downed about 4 shots of Danny Devito’s Premium Limoncello in one segment! It is just so fun to watch as the two get more and more wasted as the segment goes on. Sadly though the last segment of the show was not on YouTube, but they were both gone by that point between all the Linoncello and wine!!!
BTW I can’t wait to try to that limoncello!

Liz Taylor is such the comedian!!!
September 28th, 2007 under Elizabeth Taylor. [ Comments: none ]

Check out Entertainment Tonight for the video. I had to pull it because it was causing problems for my site. Sorry
G-d bless Dame Elizabeth for still having all her wits about her! I love how she answered Entertainment Tonight’s Thea Andrew’s question about what if he popped the question!
75 years young and she looks amazing and she still is quick witted, I hope I can say the same when I am her age!!!
BTW the two of them just look so happy together and so in love, how sweet!

Val Kilmer is going to guest star on the season premiere of Numb3rs tonight on CBS at 10p.
Val Kilmer stars as Mason Lancer, the mastermind behind the events which exposed that Colby was a mole within the FBI, on the fourth season premiere of NUMB3RS.
I never watch Numb3rs, but I will tune in after Ghost Whisperer and Moonlight just to watch Val Kilmer on the small screen!!!

Moonlight bites into TV tonight on CBS at 9p
September 28th, 2007 under Alex O'Loughlin. [ Comments: none ]

Moonlight premieres on CBS tonight at 9p and so far it is my favorite new show of the season.
Mick St. John is a captivating, charming- and immortal- private investigator from Los Angeles who defies the traditional blood-sucking norms of his vampire tendencies by using his wit and powerful supernatural abilities to help the living.  In a life-altering twist of fate, Mick was "bitten" 60 years ago by his new bride, the seductive Coraline.  Forever 30 years of age, Mick's as handsome and charismatic as the day he was "turned," and he eschews others of his kind who view humans only as a source of nourishment.  With only a handful of like-minded confidantes for company, including the eternally young, wealthy and mischievous Josef, a hedge fund trader who relishes his uniqueness, Mick fills his infinite days protecting the living.  But one night years ago, a single act of kindness changed Mick when he saved a young girl's life, making him want to be a better vampire. Now their paths cross again and Mick develops a distinctive bond with Beth Turner who has grown into a beautiful, ambitious Internet investigative reporter.  Reconnecting with her unleashes feelings Mick knows he can't pursue without exposing the part of him that would make him a monster in Beth's eyes.  As Mick lives between two realities, fighting his adversaries among the undead and falling in love, he discovers the mysteries and pleasures that a valuable life has to offer.
Moonlight reminds me of great supernatural shows like Angel and Kolchak the Night Stalker, where it relies more on the story and not as much on special effects. Not that there isn't some really cool special effects on the show.
When I read that the show recast almost every role and lost its showrunner, I thought this would have been one of the first shows cancelled. But after seeing the premiere my feelings have completely changed. I was completely blown away how good this show is, it really reminds me of the Vampire movies I really love! It just plays right and the chemistry with the cast really helps this show along so they made the right choice to recast the roles!
BTW this show is a great match with Ghost Whisperer, so once again Friday night is a great night for television!
So sink your teeth into Moonlight tonight at 9p on CBS!!!

Another ’80s classic being destroyed…I mean remade?
September 28th, 2007 under Stupid Sequels/Remakes. [ Comments: none ]

Will Smith’s son Jayden is rumored to be starring at Daniel Larusso in a remake of Karate Kid according to Digital Spy. Sony will not be bringing back Ralph Macchio to star as the lead because they feel he is too old to play the role even though he looks the same. There is also no word who be playing Mr. Miyagi, but I am hoping for Joel Grey, but I would settle for George Takei. Actually I would be happier if they didn’t remake the movie at all, but welcome to Hollywood what is original anymore?
