After months of only seeing pictures of different talented actors playing Bob Dylan we are finally see the first trailer from I’m Not There!
“INSPIRED BY THE MUSIC AND MANY LIVES OF BOB DYLAN†reads the opening title. Cate Blanchett, Richard Gere, Heath Ledger and Christian Bale all take a crack at him; Julianne Moore, Michelle Williams and Charlotte Gainsbourg appear as some of his women. But it is Blanchett as Dylan circa 1965 (think D.A. Pennebaker’s DONT LOOK BACK) and as the post-acoustic guitar rocker, who captures our imagination and runs with it at breakneck speed. As the emaciated, cigarette-smoking, nasal-voiced enfant terrible, his hair backlit to suggest a depraved angel, he torments journalists, fans and girlfriends alike. Appearances by imaginary versions of Allen Ginsberg, Edie Sedgwick, Suze Rotolo, Bobby Neuwirth, Bobby Seale, Albert Grossman and Joan Baez round out Haynes’s fever dream of what it means to be Bob Dylan.
I’m Not There comes out in theaters on November 21st, just in time for Oscar release season and you know this movie has Oscar written all over it!
Thanks Eric!
I have never been a fan of Jeremy Piven and this story from Page Six gives me another reason not to like him.
Spies at Nobu Malibu spotted Piven having "a very loud argument" with his own mother Friday night. "It was so venomous, the entire restaurant could hear them. I don't know what they were arguing about, but it was loud," said the onlooker, who noted that perturbed patrons included CAA agent Rick Nicita, who was sitting at a nearby table with Rob Reiner and a group of friends.
Of course his reps did not respond to Page Six's phone calls. What a d!ck.
First 24 was told to scrap the season that they had planned and postponed the start of production a few weeks, then when it was almost time to start production once again it was halted, but none of that is as bad as the news that Michael Ausiello is reporting…Janeane Garofalo is joining the cast as a regular. WTF are they thinking, the only thing I can think of is that really just want to take the whole year off at least. There is a reason why her pilots don't get picked up, she has a very small fan base. I am so glad I don't watch 24 because I would be beyond pissed with the news.
CBS is so happy with Power of 10 that they are giving it a second night to air on every week until the fall season starts in September. Power of 10 will be replacing Pirate Master that walked the plankl…literally.
