Family Guy will do a one hour Star Wars episode
May 25th, 2007 under Seth MacFarlane. [ Comments: none ]

Seth McFarlane probably creamed his pants when George Lucas gave him the go ahead to do a full one hour episode using Star Wars characters, actually he is probably still creaming his pants over the news. Family Guy will premiere their new season with a Star Wars: A New Hope in September. According to the Daily Variety the Griffin family are at home when they experience a black out and since they can’t watch TV, Peter decides to entertain the family with a story that leads to Star Wars flashbacks. Here is who will be playing what, “family patriarch Peter Griffin will play the role of Han Solo, while mom Lois will appear as Princess Leia. Evil baby Stewie will be Darth Vader, natch. Brian the family dog will serve as Chewbaca, while son Chris is Luke. Robots R2-D2 and C-3PO will be handled by Cleveland and Quagmire, respectively, while creepy old guy Herbert gets the Obi-Wan character. I wonder if Meg will be Jar Jar Binks and Stewie as Darth Vader is perfect.
As you can tell by the 9 clip montage Seth McFarlane and the Family Guy writers are huge fans of the Star Wars series, so I can’t wait to see what they are going to do with it because I bet you it will be brilliant.
I wonder what Seth had to offer up to get Lucas to give him the rights to do this episode… On that note remember when Carol Burnett sued them for copyright infringement because they used a character from her variety show? Well according to Fox News a Federal Judge is close to announcing that he will dismiss the suit against Fox giving Family Guy the win! What a good day for Family Guy and Seth McFarlane!!!

Rosie O’Donnell is a coward
May 25th, 2007 under The View. [ Comments: none ]

Rosie O'Donnell will not be returning to The View after that major blow out between her and Elisabeth Hasselbeck. You go Elisabeth, you have done what so many people have wanted to do and that is silencing the big fat obnoxious pig! My friend predicts that Rosie will get one of those horrible haircuts any minute now just to piss them off and for all of us to laugh at her.
Here are all the statements that TMZ obtained by all the parties about her departure:
Brian Frons, President of ABC Daytime, issued the following statement:
"We had hoped that Rosie would be with us until the end of her contract three weeks from now, but Rosie has informed us that she would like an early leave. Therefore, we part ways, thank her for her tremendous contribution to 'The View' and wish her well."
Barbara Walters said "I brought Rosie to the show. Rosie contributed to one of our most exciting and successful years at "The View." I am most appreciative. Our close and affectionate relationship will not change."
Rosie said "I'm extremely grateful. It's been an amazing year and I love all three women."
I was wondering why I heard a loud cheer a little while ago, I guess it was everyone who worked on The View happy that the evil witch is finally gone. She is a big bully who could not handle that one of the people that she bullied fought back and won!
Go Elisabeth, you are my hero!

Exclusive: Paul Karslake’s new Keith Richard’s pirate painting with Johnny Depp!
May 25th, 2007 under Johnny Depp, Pirates of the Caribbean, Rolling Stones. [ Comments: 1 ]

Paul Karslake has done it again!!!
Ten years ago Paul Karslake painted a painting of his brother-in-law's bandmate Keith Richard as a pirate. A few years later Johnny Depp saw the painting and it inspired him to model Jack Sparrow after Karslake's pirate painting. Ten years later, Pirates of the Caribbean 3 is coming out with both Johnny Depp and the man who inspired his character, Keith Richards playing his dad. So why not commemorate the moment with a new painting, ‘You’ve forgotten one very important thing… I’m Keith Richards mate’! Karslake has immortalized the two pirates in a new painting, a painting revealed the same day Pirates of the Caribbean 3 is coming out! And what a way to capture the two, that painting is absolutely amazing! I am seriously typing this post in awe just looking at it!
Seriously you should check out his other artwork at Paul Karslake and Artisan Galleries, and I promise he will quickly become one of your favorite artists as he has become one of mine!
BTW ‘You’ve forgotten one very important thing… I’m Keith Richards mate’ will be on sale soon at the Artisan Fine Art.
