Britney Spears collapsed at Pure Nightclub early today, cutting short her New Year’s Eve appearance at the Caesars Palace megaclub. Bodyguards whisked her away from Pure’s VIP section to her suite about 1 a.m. and she did not return. "She’s fine," said Larry Rudolph, Spears’ manager. "She had been traveling all day. She got real tired. It was a late night for her." It was the second time in two weeks that the hard-partying Spears was carried out of a nightclub. She was helped out of Hollywood’s Les Deux about 2 a.m. on Dec. 22. Spears had just completed a second New Year’s Eve countdown on the terrace of Pure and had returned to her group on the VIP stage. "She had a little too much to drink," said a Pure source. "She was assisted out, but she was not carried." Spears was seen mixing a rum and pineapple drink with champagne shortly before her stumbling departure. Rudolph said Spears "wasn’t drinking that much."

So when I was in Vegas, my friend told me they pump oxygen through the vents to keep people awake all night long…so then why was she so tired? Just asking?

Paris Hilton knows a pretty blonde when she sees one |
| January 1st, 2007 under Paris Hilton. [ Comments: none ]

Party princess Paris Hilton held her only official Sydney media engagement on New Year’s Day, naming Jaime Wright the face of Bondi Blonde beer. She cast her discerning eye over a stream of bikini-clad hopefuls at the Bondi Icebergs club, alongside surfing star Koby Abberton. The Hilton hotel heiress was reportedly paid up to $5 million by advertising magnate John Singleton for the whirlwind six-day promotional visit. Singleton is the major shareholder in Bluetongue Brewery, which produces the Blonde beer. Crowning Ms Wright Ms Bondi Blonde, Hilton was, as always, loving the cameras, striking a pose in a yellow dress for the mob of photographers crowding the Bondi club. "Thanks for having me here, I’m having the best time and I love Australia," she said. "Everyone’s been so warm and welcoming." "Being a blonde myself I love blondes, so I’m excited to meet you girls and thanks for having me here." The 25-year-old model, actress and sometime singer was quick to compliment the parade of contestants. "You’ve got great abs," she told one. "She was really pretty," she remarked of another. But it wasn’t all fashion and frivolity, with Hilton also offering a new year’s resolution to the media pack. "I have a lot of new year’s resolutions," she said. "One is definitely giving back, I’m really fortunate and that’s why everywhere I go I’m going to visit a children’s hospital, just get really involved in charity work." The international A-lister dropped into the children’s ward of Sydney’s Royal North Shore Hospital last week, signing autographs and causing a few young male patients to blush. Hilton was handed the keys to Bondi as she presented the Ms Bondi Blonde award, as a token of thanks for her promotional contribution to the famous beach. Hours after jetting into Sydney on December 28, Paris took a dip in the Bondi surf, to the delight of Waverley mayor George Newhouse and scores of wide-eyed onlookers. "I have to say that Paris is welcome at Bondi any time," Mr Newhouse said. Hilton is believed to have ushered in 2007 with Sam Branson, son of Virgin mogul Sir Richard Branson. She flies home to the US on Tuesday.

The amount of BS in that article just makes me want to hurl. If she wants to do charity work so badly, then why did she walk out on a $10 lunch bill while in Australia? BTW that dress is just awful, it looks like an over-the-hill ice skater’s dress.

Nicole Kindman calls the police over harrassing photographer |

A DISTRAUGHT Nicole Kidman has called on police for protection, claiming her holiday in NSW with husband Keith Urban was ruined by harassment. The star, who has been reunited with country music idol Urban, 39, after he began treatment for alcoholism, broke down in a roadside rage after requesting a police escort to help reach her Rosedale holiday home. The outburst came when her ongoing feud with freelance photographer Jamie Fawcett boiled over again on New Year’s Eve after she said the celebrity snapper had been a constant presence during her break. It was the first sign that Kidman, also 39, is not coping well with the public scrutiny of her marriage and Urban’s fall off the wagon. Kidman is believed to have sent staff to make a complaint at Batemans Bay police station at noon on Sunday, saying the photographer had been a constant presence during her time away with Urban and her parents, Antony and Janelle Kidman. The couple alleged Fawcett had a history of harassing Kidman and endangered her and others while following her. Fawcett’s lawyers will appear at Sydney’s Downing Centre Local Court on January 11 over allegations he was linked to bugging her Darling Point home this time last year. Checks on the police computer showed an AVO Kidman initiated over stalking claims was revoked in February last year. Fawcett told The Daily Telegraph an unmarked highway patrol car was made available to Kidman’s convoy, which included a security vehicle carrying her minders and a black Audi driven by Urban. The cars then set off for the couple’s Rosedale compound. But just metres down the road, Fawcett claims the group pulled up, with the photographer taking the opportunity to begin snapping the stars. Fawcett claims Kidman rolled down her window and angrily said: "f… off, Jamie." Kidman is upset and agitated in Fawcett’s photos, with Urban offering a calming hand. "It was more her snapping than him. He appeared, in my view, to pull her back into the car," Fawcett said. "I was four or five metres from their car and entitled to be there. This situation was not my making. They pulled over." Batemans Bay police Inspector Gary Megay said the couple had been offered protection. "Those roads around Rosedale are very narrow and with paparazzi around, we were just making sure everyone was safe," he said. The incident is believed to have led to an early end to the holiday trip, with the couple driving back to Sydney on Sunday and spending New Year’s at her sister’s Greenwich home. They flew out for Los Angeles on Kidman’s private jet early yesterday.

That is so sad, what should’ve been their happy reunion was destroyed by some obsessed photographer.

Pete Doherty and Kate Moss got married??? |

Kate Moss has married her drug addict fiancé Pete Doherty in a private New Year’s Day ceremony on the Thai island of Phuket. The couple exchanged vows before a select few friends and family members in a forty minute ceremony held at their six star hotel villa overlooking the sea. News of the wedding has sent shock waves through Miss Moss’s circle of friends concerned that a legally binding union may give the poverty-stricken heroin and crack cocaine addict the right to half the estimated £25 million fortune Miss Moss has amassed during her extraordinarily successful 16-year modelling career. It is yet to be confirmed whether the wedding was a Thai Buddist-style ‘marriage blessing’ or a formal legal wedding, the latter of which is often tied up in weeks of beaurocratic red tape. Thai Buddhist-style blessings conducted by monks are usually taken in conjunction with formal weddings in a couple’s home country. The presence of Miss Moss’s personal assistant perhaps to help plough through beaurocratic red tape – and Kate’s mother Linda and brother Nick being at the ceremony in Phuket – are being seen as an indication that a formal legally-binding ceremony took place. After seeing in the New Year under a £100,000 fire works display alongside other hotel guests including the Duchess of York, Sarah Ferguson, and her daughters Beatrice and Eugenie, the 32-year-old supermodel and Doherty, 27, retired to bed shortly before 1am, ahead of their big day. Miss Moss is understood to have warned Doherty against late nights of drugs consumption in Thailand, where such behaviour can carry the death penalty. Yesterday the pair were awoken with a room service breakfast before preparing, in different rooms, for the ceremony. At 1.30pm Thai time – 6.30am UK time – the Babyshambles singer and Miss Moss exchanged vows in the picturesque private gardens of their five-bedroomed £4,500-per-night villa at the Amanpuri hotel. Wearing a white Galliano shift dress and her blonde hair loose, Miss Moss looked on adoringly at her groom, who was dressed in an all-black linen suit and his trademark pork pie hat. For the ceremony, the gardens and villa were decorated with flower petals, fragrant jasmine, orchids and a floral archway. White and pale pink lotus flowers decorated the pool. With security at a maximum, staff guarded the perimeter of the villa, preventing any uninvited guests from wandering in. A legally recognised marriage in Thailand would involve the couple first visiting the British embassy in Bangkok, then getting the paperwork translated by a certified translator. They would then have to visit the Bangkok Foreign Affairs Office to get the translations stamped. Last night a hotel source confirmed the wedding ceremony had taken place. The Mail revealed yesterday that the pair were due to exchange vows on the Thai island on New Year’s Day. "The wedding has been planned with the utmost care and attention to detail", the source said. "irtually all the staff were informed that it was taking place but they have been under strict instructions to keep quiet about it. The couple was adamant that it should be a secret, private function." Another hotel staff member claimed that the couple, who got together almost two years ago at the model’s 31st birthday party, planned to honeymoon on another island off Thailand.

Let the divorce clock begin! Wow, is all I can say. I guess now we know why he was was willing to break the supervision order in order to spend time with Kate in Thailand, they were planning on getting married all along. Wow.

Kid Rock has a problem with anger management? |

A jealous Kid Rock blew a fuse early Sunday and went knocking on the wrong door. I hear the estranged husband of Pamela Anderson showed up at the Hard Rock Hotel at 6 a.m. on Sunday and began violently pounding on a door. Anderson’s ex-husband, Tommy Lee, was performing at The Joint at the Hard Rock Hotel on New Year’s Eve with his new band, Rock Star: Supernova. When the damaged door opened, Kid Rock found himself facing a total stranger. The rocker apologized, according to my spy, signed an autograph for the startled person and went on his way.

Looks like Pamela dodged a real bullet by divorcing him?
