This show has quickly become one of my favorite shows of the new season! In fact it took over for Lost as my must see show on Wednesday!
BTW how amazing is that Five for Fighting song? He always has one timeless classic on each of his albums!
Marcia Cross, who is expecting twins in April, was put on immediate bed rest last week for the remainder of her pregnancy, TV Guide has learned. The doctor’s orders sent Desperate Housewives producers scrambling to wrap up Bree’s current story line, ultimately deciding that if Cross can’t come to the shoot, then the shoot will come to Cross. At the end of this week, they will move the production of the show to the actress’ West Los Angeles home for two days. (Cross — whose TV alter ego isn’t pregnant — had only planned on taping two more shows after the Feb. 11 episode because it was becoming too difficult to hide her growing bump.) While Cross is resting upstairs in bed, the Housewives team will be downstairs transforming the home she moved into just months ago into a likeness of Bree’s orderly abode. "They are painting the walls, moving in props and furniture from the set…," says a source from the set. "They’re basically making Marcia’s house into Bree’s."
Angelina Jolie has revealed that, despite her love of motherhood, she did not intend to conceive a child with Brad Pitt. "I wasn’t planning on getting pregnant," she said, before joking: "I’m the one that got knocked up." Article continues below… Speaking in an interview with UK Elle magazine, the mum-of-three explained that at the time her new beau was more intent on having a child than she was. "Some men have kids when they’re not ready and some men know they want to take it seriously and wait until they’re absolutely ready," she said. "You could say Brad changed me." The 31-year-old went on to say she loved her two adopted youngsters Maddox and Zahara just as much as her new baby. Angelina confessed that the difficult start her first two children had in life made her feel a special sympathy for them."I think I feel so much more for Madd and Zee because they’re survivors, they came through so much," she said. "Shiloh seemed so privileged from the moment she was born. I’m conscious that I have to make sure I don’t ignore her needs, just because I think the others are more vulnerable." And it would seem the Hollywood couple are intent on making sure their young charges have plenty of brothers and sisters. "We definitely want a very big family," she said. "It might seem crazy to build it so quickly, but if we’re going to have ten kids, we’d like to raise them while we’re young." And Brad appears equally as happy to aim for a large brood. "I have three kids now and next year I’ll have six then nine," he said recently. "We’re looking for a soccer team – I want to compete in the next World Cup!"
David Beckham is to leave Real Madrid in the summer, according to the Spanish club’s sporting director. Predrag Mijatovic told Sky Italia television: "Beckham will leave us, we will not renew his contract." Real had previously stated their desire to resolve his long-running contract issue one way or the other by the end of next week, and further talks had been expected to take place. The news is certain to ignite speculation over where the former England captain will go next season. He is consistently linked with a return to the Premiership, while there have also been suggestions that he will go and play in America. The former England captain moved to the Spanish capital in July 2003 after many years of success with Manchester United. His first three years in Spain were largely successfuly on a personal level, although the club has failed to land a major honour during his time there. He has not been a regular fixture in the team this season, which had led to speculation about his future.
"Mamma Mia!" — an adaptation of the popular ABBA stage musical — is coming to the big screen with a little help from Tom Hanks. The story follows a bride-to-be — raised on a Greek island by a formerly rebellious mom who never disclosed the identity of her father — who locates three men who might be her father and invites them to her wedding. The musical features 22 ABBA songs, including "Dancing Queen," "Take a Chance on Me" and "The Winner Takes It All." Since opening in London in 1999, the show has grossed more than $1 billion with productions running around the globe. Theater veteran Phyllida Lloyd is in negotiations to make her feature directing debut on the film, which Hanks’ Playtone production company will develop for Universal Pictures. ABBA members and songwriters Benny Andersson and Bjorn Ulvaeus will serve as executive producers, along with Hanks and his wife Rita Wilson.
I love the play, but I don’t think it will translate well on to the big screen. Please I implore of Hollywood to stop turning every sucessful Broadway Musical into a movie.
