Anderson And Rock Refused To Take Nuptials Seriously…. Pamela Anderson and Kid Rock struggled to take their ‘legal’ wedding seriously when they exchanged vows in Beverly Hills, California in August (06) – they invited their kids to hide in courthouse bushes and take pictures. The couple, who split last month (Nov06), wed in St Tropez, France but learned the nuptials weren’t legal and had to renew their vows in Los Angeles. Anderson says, "We didn’t realise we had to do a whole other ceremony in front of the judge and exchange rings. "There were plastic flowers and a plastic cake and plastic chairs and I was like, ‘We should get the kids out of the car for this, don’t you think, honey?’ "I didn’t realise we were going to have to do more than just sign a paper. "I gave both kids cameras, and they hid in the bushes and took pictures."

Call it Rent-an-Idol. For the right price, "American Idol" castoffs, finalists and even champs will pay a visit to your wedding, Sweet 16 or bar mitzvah. "The average going rate for an ‘American Idol’ finalist can be as little as $15,000 or as much as $150,000," says a source familiar with the business of brokering singers, bands and other talent for corporate functions and exclusive private parties. "But it really depends on what you want them to do. Are they just going to show up at the party or are they going to sing? Do they have a song on the charts right now, or are they yesterday’s news?" A wealthy entertainment mogul once shelled out big bucks – more than $30,000 – to hire second-season "Idol" champ Ruben Studdard to sing just three songs at a party for his wife. "And I’m in the industry," he says. For gigs booked by less well-connected individuals, Studdard reportedly rakes in around $75,000 or more. Taylor Hicks, the latest champ, fetches as much as $150,000 for a private performance. He’ll be able to demand more if he ever becomes as popular as the original "Idol" winner, Kelly Clarkson, who sources say is paid as much as $300,000 to put on a private mini-concert. Carrie Underwood, who won the Fox TV talent show last year, commands upward of $250,000 to show up at a party and sing. On the lower end of the "Idol" scale are acts like second-season finalist Kimberly Caldwell, who garners around $2,000 a gig.. She pockets $3,000 if you ask her to sing. But she’s made bigger money in the past; at one gig, Caldwell got as much as $7,500 to sit for hours signing autographs, an industry source says. The people who now manage "Idol" finalists and winners are extremely tight-lipped, even slightly belligerent, about how much their clients are paid, because, one manager says, "the price can change overnight and is frequently different depending on who they’re singing for, where and when."

Who would you pay for? I would pay for Clay Aiken, Jon Peter Lewis and Chris Daughtry! Granted I am only offering $100, you think they will still do it?

A PRETTY blonde is taking legal action against troubled Hollywood superstar Mel Gibson to force him to take a DNA test and prove she’s his secret daughter. Painter Carmel Sloane claims the millionaire actor made her mum pregnant on a mattress in the back of his car before he was famous 30 YEARS ago. And now her 10-year-old son Jordan bears a striking resemblance to his secret GRANDAD. Carmel, 29, said: "I’m not doing it for his money. I just want to meet the man I’ve always known was my dad — and for him to get to know his grandson." The paternity suit is the latest blow for the Braveheart star. Earlier this year he was arrested for drink-driving and launched an anti-Jewish tirade against cops. Legal papers will be served on Gibson, 50, this week and he will either have to admit he’s the father or have a swab taken from inside his mouth for DNA testing. "I would love to meet him but I wouldn’t expect to be part of his life. I’m not looking for a piece of the pie or that lifestyle. "I would like him to know he has a grandson who is a great kid. He is very bright and creative. He would be proud of him." The News of the World put the claims to Gibson’s representatives, but they failed to respond. Carmel added: "We have no choice but to go legal so that we can get to the bottom of this once and for all. A simple DNA test will sort it out."
