The cast is no longer hopelessy devoted to Grease 3? |

In an interview with TV Guide, "Grease" star Didi ‘Frenchy’ Conn says although there were plans for a "Grease 3", all the scripts sucked – and now, both Travolta and Newton-John have walked. "We’ve been planning one for years, and I’ve had meetings with writers, but they just don’t get the innocence of Grease", says the bubbly actress. "The scripts are not right — they’re sad, and everybody’s a loser. I don’t think John is interested anymore, and he’s convinced Olivia not to do it. The feelings of John, Olivia and Stockard [Channing] are to let those characters be. I even read one script that had John’s character dead. It was such a downer. That’s not Grease — Grease is always an upper!". Both Travolta and Newton-John were quite excited at the prospect of doing a sequel to their 70s hit, at one stage. Newton-John told The Age newspaper a few years back that "they’ve (the film studio) signed a production deal with a production company and now they’re working on a storyline because I’ve been getting emails back and forth about ideas for the storyline. ‘There’s no cast members signed on that except John and I, that I know of at the moment, and probably Didi Conn who (plays) Frenchy.’’ Her enthusiasm for the project only increased over time. She later said, “They’re working on it. They’re getting a writer, so we’ll see what happens from here,” she’s quoted as saying in late 2003. “But it seems to be pretty serious. They want to do it." But what about Travolta? "He’s up for it if it’s the right thing," she adds. Its believed that both Travolta and Newton-John insisted that original crooners, The Bee Gees, be involved in the music again, and original director Randal Kleiser helm the film, if they were to officially sign on to the pic. A couple of other ideas that were floated around for a "Grease 3" include centering the action on the daughter – rumoured to be played by Kylie Minogue, at one stage – of Danny & Sandy, as well as redoing the first film with Britney Spears and Justin Timberlake in the lead roles. Groan. Travolta’s initial response – in the early 90s – when asked about "Grease 3" is probably spot-on. The actor, who also recently nixed plans for a "General’s Daughter" sequel, funnily enough, told Blackfilm.com that "They talked about Grease 3. I have no idea what that would be like. Little kids think Grease was made yesterday so why bother with a sequel. My publicist’s niece called and said, ‘There’s a movie called Grease and it’s on DVD and I’d like you to buy it for me.’ She thought it was made last year. Maybe you leave that alone and do something different."

Breathing easier now that another bad sequel will not see the light of day!

Keith Richards explains why he stopped doing drugs |

Veteran wildman Keith Richards claims the only reason he no longer takes drugs is because they are now of a low quality. The Brown Sugar guitarist was a heroin addict for most of the 1970s and remains rock’s most celebrated survivor. However, the 62-year-old is less-than-impressed with contemporary narcotics. He says: "I really think the quality’s gone down. "All they do is try and take the high out of everything. I don’t like the way they’re working on the brain area instead of just through the blood system. "That’s why I don’t take them any more. And you’re talking to a person who knows his drugs." However, Richards admits to sampling morphine again in hospital, following brain surgery after he fell out of a tree while on holiday in Fiji in April. He adds: "I don’t take drugs unless I have to under great duress with my brain open. "I’ve had a couple of weeks on morphine. I did try to squeeze the little bit extra out of the night nurse. She was very accommodating."

That answer is so sad, but I guess I should not expect that much from a man who fell out of bush.

Hi All!
MAN!
I wish I was allowed to tell you all who I’m singing with ‘cause it’s gonna be the Sh*t!! I am so excited about it. I was in the bottom three last week and many believe it’s because I am too much of a rock singer and not lite R&B/adult contemporary enough for the masses.
Well if that’s true They’ll have to bring back Chris, Lea and Carly so they can make me under the bottom 6 because we are definitely bringin’ the rock this week. Holy Metal Skool Batman! this is gonna be fun. And if I do get voted off at least I’ll go down swingin’.
Thanks to all those who have called in and continue to call. It’s because of you I made it far enough to do this. I am eternally grateful.
Alright…. gotta go practice! Big show in 2 days

We are moved out of our house while production takes over our basement and garage. I brought my cats to the kennel today and I cried. I hate leaving them. I know that if I were ever to hit any kind of stress during filming that my cats would be a great comfort. I just dont want them to get hurt or run out a door left open by a crew member. I miss them already. We are holed up in a hotel just for tonight. Tomorrow we are off to Vegas in the morning to host a party at MGM’s tabu. Should be an interesting night. I always surprise myself when I pack for Vegas. The dresses I wear there should be illegal. Does everyone pack a little more sexy for Vegas? I swear, that town is pure evil. We start filming again after we get back. This is the first time I have ever felt nervous going on camera. I shouldn’t be. By now I should know how to crack this system. I’m basically a reality tv expert. It’s just hard knowing what happened to us last time. The stress of a huge wedding, all the details, AND being on camera just defeated us in every way. We cracked and melted down. But we survived. We survived what would have broken up even the strongest of couples. I have great faith in us and our ability to cope this time. That is the very reason we are doing this again. It’s not about the money, we are doing just fine there. This is about showing who we really are. I am not sayin we were fake before. It’s just unrealistic to think you are going to see someone’s true self in such a fucked up situation. (wedding, planning, family issues, and camera’s!) We can’t walk away from this looking how we did the last time. We love each other very much and we want people to see why. And on that note we would walk blissfully into the sunset as we say goodbye to the camera’s following our lives.
I have lived my life on camera since I was 20…I’m going on 4 years. I have NO regrets. People have seen the best and worst of me. They have seen the ups and downs of my life. It’s funny knowing I can pop in a tape and watch the very second my life would change forever. That was the day I stepped on America’s Next Top Model wide eyed and totally out of my element. I can watch my transition from a Joliet Trash talking rebel to a Joliet Trash talking rebel in disguise. ; ) j/k Seriously though, I just never thought anything like this could happen to me. I was an ex-junkie waitress trying to figure out how to put all the pieces back together. Before you know it, I win a tv show and start the climb to where I am now. VH1 really made me. Since the Surreal Life my career has soared. It blows my mind to no end. And now I am saying goodbye to the very thing that brought me here. I know to never say you will never do something again. Sometimes you end up doing it and looking like an idiot. I can say that it’s been a really fun ride, but I am ready to jump off. I am so glad so many people have been able to enjoy it with me. It sure has been a fuckin blast riding with you all!
I won’t be able to blog for a bit so I hope everyone has a kick ass week. I will share info once I get it on when MFB3 is expected to air. Wish me luck kiddies. I’m about to fall into the rabbit hole again. =)

Debra Messing still thinks she is an A-List celeb |

SHE’S touching down in Oz to shoot a mini-series next month, but sitcom star Debra Messing has issued a warning to the film’s producers – she won’t be going anywhere near the ocean. The Will and Grace star admitted the death of Crocodile Hunter Steve Irwin has left her terrified of swimming in Australian waters. While Messing (pictured) said she was "very much’’ looking forward to coming to Australia to film mini series The Starter’s Wife, she has revealed her demands for a body double to stand in for any ocean-related scenes. "I told them I am not going in the ocean. I told them I need a stunt double,’’ she said from LA this week Messing, who will be accompanied by her husband Daniel and their toddler Roman during her stay, stars as a Hollywood wife who has been ditched on the Gold Coast by her movie mogul husband. In addition to her swimming ban, Messing also announced to producers that her famous flaming red locks wouldn’t be making it to Australia. Celebrity spotters will want to keep their eyes keenly peeled – because after decades of being a bloodnut, Messing has told producers "enough is enough’’. "We were just talking and I was really pushing for dark brown,’’ she said. "They (producers) were like, `We like the red’ – I was like ‘I bet you do’.’’

What a freaking Diva. Wait until the movie bombs at the box office if it actually makes it to the big screen.
