Seriously? OMG! WTF?

New Line has pulled Samuel L. Jackson’s much-buzzed-about Snakes on a Plane thriller from its press-screenings calendar, believing that fan support is strong enough to launch the film on Aug. 17. As a studio rep tells Variety, "Understanding that [the fans] would be the driving force behind the film, we decided they should be the first to see it." Boo, hissssssssss!

Normally this means death to a movie, but I do not think that is the case here. Here I think this movie is a fan’s dream and critic’s nightmare, so New Line did the right thing. 

DESPITE nursing a broken leg, former Dancing On Ice contestant Giaan Rooney says she enjoyed the challenge and would happily sign up for a second series.The Australia swimming star underwent surgery yesterday after she fell and badly broke her leg while rehearsing for the Channel Nine show.The Olympic gold medallist was practising with skating partner Jonathon O’Dougherty when the accident happened."I would love to tell you we were doing something hard, but we were just warming up actually, just doing what we do every other warm-up day and I caught my toe on the ice and went over," Rooney said from the sidelines of tonight’s show."I am devastated watching everyone else tonight, they look fantastic and I am going to miss being a part of it."Supported by crutches, Rooney said it was great being able to try out something a little risky."These were my teenage rebellious years and I don’t get to go through with them because you’re very precious as an athlete and make sure you look after yourself and that’s why I’ve never been ice skating before," she said."I was really enjoying it, taking a challenge and actually having a bit of fun."Asked if she would come back for series two, Rooney said: "I’d love to, but only if you bring Jonathon back as well."Mr O’Dougherty said he was sad to be out of the game. "I’m really disappointed, I was looking forward to skating tonight … it was going to be fun."Rooney’s injury is the latest to plague the celebrity TV series.Fellow contestant and former Test cricketer Michael Slater was injured last weekend after his partner, Anya D’Jamirze, accidentally skated over his left hand, severing a tendon.Slater, 36, suffered massive bleeding but managed to drive himself to Sydney’s Royal North Shore hospital with a gaping hole in his hand.He is now sporting a cast from his fingers to the elbow but, unlike Rooney, has been able to continue in the show.Last month, Getaway star Jules Lund suffered a spinal injury on the ice in which he fainted and was temporarily unable to move, while Annalise Braakensiek began skating with a fractured rib.

American Idol 5 champ Taylor Hicks once again will face off against runner-up Katharine McPhee — as well as Kellie Pickler — when all three singers’ albums go on sale Nov. 14, Variety reports. Not only is this the first time Idol finalists have shared a release date, but all three involved are crooning for RCA Music Group. For McPhee fans, mid-November may be the next chance they get to hear her sing, seeing as that pesky laryngitis/bronchitis still has her sitting out the American Idols Live summer tour. Kat went online (at KatharineFans.com) to try to dispel talk that she’s missing the entire circuit, writing, "I can assure you that [rumor] is completely false. I am looking to join the tour around [July] 21st."

I added my predictions. Why would any label want to release either Fantasia or Ruben, both are so destined to do nothing. 

Janet Jackson is turning over the artwork for her upcoming album, "20 Years Old," to fans via a contest with Yahoo! Music, Billboard.com can reveal. Beginning today (July 18) at noon PST, fans can download 33 images of Jackson for use as part of their own covers. Jackson will personally choose four finalists, whose creations will appear on "selected publicly distributed copies" of the album, according to Virgin.Sixteen finalists will win Jackson’s complete album discography on CD. Each design uploaded to the contest site will be assigned a unique link that can be shared.As previously reported, "20 Years Old" is due Sept. 26. The set was produced by Jackson’s boyfriend, Virgin Urban president Jermaine Dupri, as well as longtime collaborators Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis.
