Perez Hilton = Pinocchio |

Lavandeira says what sets him apart from other bloggers — besides wanting to be called an “online entertainer” — are his stellar sources and his ethics. “I get stories because people know that I will never lie, or make things up, or pay for information. I apply a journalistic standard to my work.” Lavandeira’s scoops usually pan out, but whether “journalistic standards” encompasses drawing dots of coke under the noses of celebrities is debatable. Twice in our conversation he insists, “I don’t hate anybody. And I don’t like drama!” Yet particular celebrities seem to consistently earn his disdain — among them, monomaniacal View host Star “Starzilla” Jones and kept man Kevin “K-Fag” Federline. Still, even though the blog’s tagline is “Hollywood’s most hated website,” it’s rarely malicious. Indeed, what Perez taketh away, he also giveth: he may mock Janet Jackson’s weight gain, and then months later rave about her newly sculpted abs.

WTF, Hasselhoff is so drinking again? |

DAVID HASSELHOFF is proud of being caught on camera crying during the final episode of AMERICAN IDOL – he just wishes US President GEORGE W BUSH could follow his example and show some emotion too. The former BAYWATCH star was in the audience watching finalists KATHERINE MCPHEE and TAYLOR HICKS face-off for the title and was overcome with emotion when the winner was announced. He refuses to feel embarrassed by his sentimental display – and insists if politicians could show some love and warmth like him, the world would be a better place. Hasselhoff hits back saying, "Is it wrong for a grown man to cry? Maybe if we had more emotion in the White House we wouldn’t be in this mess we’re in. "What moved me was the person sitting next to me is my best friend, he has brain cancer. It was his birthday and this was his present. "When Taylor Hicks won I said, ‘Isn’t that cool? A guy gets the American Dream.’ Then I look over at my best friend who says, ‘Isn’t it great to be alive?’ "I find it kind of strange that you have to explain that in this world. What’s wrong with that? What’s wrong with having emotion?"

STARFACE will follow three contestants as they’re asked questions about famous names in the news. Game Show Network president RICH CRONIN says, "Danny Bonaduce is the perfect celebrity host. "He knows pop culture inside out, he has lived the tabloid celebrity life, and his ad libs are hilarious." Bonaduce recently starred in his own VH1 reality series BREAKING BONADUCE and has frequently been a target for the tabloid media.

Is Tuesday Night Book Club closed? |

CBS is benching its summer newcomer "Tuesday Night Book Club" for at least two weeks, scheduling updates released by the network confirmed this morning.
A repeat of "48 Hours Mystery" will fill the Tuesday, 10:00/9:00c hour on June 27 with the "Boston Pops Fireworks Spectacular" airing on July 4.
It’s not clear if "Book Club" will return on July 11, the same night "Big Brother" and "Rock Star" launch their Tuesday editions this season.
A lackluster 5.07 million viewers tuned into "Club’s" premiere on June 13 while an estimated 4.13 million watched its second broadcast earlier this week. Both numbers fell short of its "The Unit" repeat lead-in (7.45 million on June 13 and 6.37 million on June 20).
