The Kissing Booth kisses and tells its last story on Netflix starting today. In the third and final chapter Elle (Joey King) has to decide whether to go to the same college as her best friend Lee (Jacob Elordi) or her boyfriend and his brother, Noah (Joel Courtney).
When the second movie ended, she found out that she got into both Harvard and Berkley. Now, she has to make a choice that will hurt one brother, and she is going to avoid telling them that she has to. She and Lee have been saying they would go to Berkley ever since they could talk. However, now that she is doing more than talking with Noah, she also wants to go to Boston. She can’t do both, so which one will she choose?
A decision that becomes harder when she has to spend the whole summer with both brothers at their beach house. Their mom (Molly Ringwald) has decided to put the house on the market, and the three of them are going to prepare it for the sale.
While cleaning out the house, Lee and Elle find their Beach Bucket List from when they were kids. They decide to check off all of the items before they go away to college. The more items they finish, the more tension it causes in all of their relationships. To make matters worse for Elle, Marco (Taylor Zakhar Perez) is also spending the summer by the house. This makes Noah jealous. Does he have a right to be?
Not only is Elle dealing with all of this drama, but her dad (Stephen Jennings) also started dating again. To put it mildly, she doesn’t like it.
All of this will lead to Elle reaching a breaking point and making a decision that is best for her. But, what does that mean for all of the men in her life?
By the end of this movie, we will all be left satisfied. But what about Elle, Lee, Noah, and Marco? I can’t tell you, what fun would that be. However, I will tell you, it didn’t end like I thought I would, but I really enjoyed how they wrapped up the franchise. I just wish we could get a The Kissing Booth 4, 5, 6, and so on.
Whether you have seen the first two movies or not, you can spend the day binging all three together. What else is there to do between the heat and COVID-19’s Delta variant? At least these films give us hope and remind us what kissing is. Remember that?
