Yesterday was the premiere of A24’s The Drama in Los Angeles, and the film’s star, Zendaya, was the Queen of the Ball as she walked the red carpet in her off-the-shoulder, floor-length white gown.
However, this is not the first time she has had the title in that Vivienne Westwood dress. She wore it in 2015 on another red carpet.
Why did she choose to wear something she had worn before? She told Maura Higgins: “So I was trying to figure out how to theme dress…We just happen to be wearing white a lot. But I didn’t want that to be the only theme. And I know that saying, ‘Something old. Something new. Something borrowed. Something blue.’ So I started with something old. And this is a dress I wore when I was 18 years old to the Oscars, actually, my very first Oscars. And it was a very important moment for me in my life and my career, but also for my family, for my folks. That moment meant a lot to me, so this felt like the right time to bring this one out of the archive. And also, it happened to be a wedding dress. So that worked out too.”
So there y’all have it, Zendaya in a wedding dress. Just not the one she wore to her wedding to her Spider-Man co-star Tom Holland that her long-time stylist, Law Roach, claims to have already happened.
You can see her try to get married to Robert Pattinson on April 3rd.
The first trailer is out for Spider-Man: Brand New Day, and it looks more like part of the DC Universe than the Marvel one. As in, it seems very dark and broody. But then again, I have never seen any of the Mr. & Mrs. Tom Holland incarnation of the franchise about Peter Parker and Mary Jane Watson. So maybe it is always that way.
However, there was one moment that really stuck out to me. That was when Parker is sitting next to a washer that is washing his Spider-Man suit. Who knew Superheroes could wash their costumes? And now I am left pondering, does that mean they stink after a long day of saving lives and fighting the bad guys? Do they fade over time? Do they shrink? And so on…
Because of that, this film has caught me in its web. Now, I want to see what else they can do that we do in our humdrum lives. So who will be swinging into movie theaters with me on July 31st?
Do you prefer wings with bones but hate dealing with the bones? There is a hack you can try to remove the bones and just get the meat.
What is it? You put the wing in your mouth and then pull the bones out, one from each end. Then all you have to deal with is the chicken and not the bones.
Want to try it? You can go to Wing Stop and try one of their 14 sauces on them. I am off to get some and try the hack.
Before Keke Palmer was an Advisor on American Idol, she auditioned for American Juniors, a spinoff of the singing competition for kids. Can you believe that they decided not to move forward with the talented 9-year-old after her 2006 audition?
