Universal Pictures released the first trailer for Wicked For Good, and November 21st (170 days) is too far away from today.
The visuals make it look like it will be another sensational masterpiece like Wicked is. Plus, the story of Elphaba and Glenda’s friendship is going to bring friends together every time they watch the film because we all want that one friend who matters.
Here is the description of Wicked For Good from Universal: Elphaba (Cynthia Erivo), now demonized as The Wicked Witch of the West, lives in exile, hidden within the Ozian forest while continuing her fight for the freedom of Oz’s silenced Animals and desperately trying to expose the truth she knows about The Wizard (Jeff Goldblum).
Glinda, meanwhile, has become the glamorous symbol of Goodness for all of Oz, living at the palace in Emerald City and reveling in the perks of fame and popularity. Under the instruction of Madame Morrible (Oscar® winner Michelle Yeoh), Glinda is deployed to serve as an effervescent comfort to Oz, reassuring the masses that all is well under the rule of The Wizard.
As Glinda’s stardom expands and she prepares to marry Prince Fiyero (Olivier award winner and Emmy and SAG nominee Jonathan Bailey) in a spectacular Ozian wedding, she is haunted by her separation from Elphaba. She attempts to broker a conciliation between Elphaba and The Wizard, but those efforts will fail, driving Elphaba and Glinda only further apart. The aftershocks will transform Boq (Tony nominee Ethan Slater) and Fiyero forever, and threaten the safety of Elphaba’s sister, Nessarose (Marissa Bode), when a girl from Kansas comes crashing into all their lives.
As an angry mob rises against the Wicked Witch, Glinda and Elphaba will need to come together one final time. With their singular friendship now the fulcrum of their futures, they will need to truly see each other, with honesty and empathy, if they are to change themselves, and all of Oz, for good.
While I wait for the sequel to the prequel of The Wizard of Oz to come out, I will watch Wicked another 100 times.
BTW I think that they should have released this trailer during the Tonys, which is going to be hosted by Erivo.
Before Tony Shalhoub worked in an airport on Wings, he worked at a post office on Search for Tomorrow. He looks the same now as he did when he was 31 in that 1985 episode.
Have you ever said to yourself, “Do I want a donut or a bagel,” and you couldn’t figure out which one to choose? Well, Philadelphia Cream Cheese has made it so that we don’t have to decide.
They have created the Bonut. It is the first-ever bagel donut featuring the brand’s newest cream cheese flavours on top of an uncut bagel. Those two new flavors are pineapple and blueberry.
“For over 150 years, our goal at Philadelphia has been to bring fans new and exciting experiences to elevate their everyday food occasions,” said Brian Neumann, Head of Brand & Creativity at Kraft Heinz Canada. “With flavoured cream cheese driving category growth and flavour being cited as our fans’ number one purchase driver3, we are excited to bring these new sweet products to our portfolio and share how they can elevate your bagel from boring to Bonut.”
Sadly, the Bonut will only be available on June 6th at these two restaurants: College Street Bagels in Toronto and Fairmont Bagel in Montreal. However, those cream cheese flavors are not going anywhere.
Snow White is the most hated movie of the year! And that was before it came out.
Rachel Zegler badmouthed the original Snow White, saying her Snow White doesn’t need a man. Then, there were complaints about how they were portraying the Seven Elves in the film; only one of the actors has dwarfism. Therefore, they replaced them with CGI versions, and they were creepy-looking. Next, people were like, “Why is the Evil Queen prettier than Snow White?” On that note, there were rumors that Zegler and Gal Gadot hated each other, and it showed. So much so that she is not in the promo to promote that it is coming to Disney+, and the Queen is an important part of the movie.
After the film came out, people could not stop talking about how awful the movie is. So awful that they didn’t even go back to turn into a drinking game.
Starting on June 11th, you can find out if the movie, which led to Disney pausing the making of live-action films based on cartoons, and cost the studio over $115 million, is as bad as they say.
As someone who saw the movie and loves musicals, I can tell you it is worse than you think.
So watch Snow White and see the movie that is going to sweep the Razzies next year.
I grew up watching Keanu Reeves because Bill & Ted’s Excellent Adventure is one of my favorite movies. However, he doesn’t seem to be growing older.
So imagine my surprise when Chris Connelly asked him, “How does it feel to be 60 and still doing this [movies like Ballerina] at such a high level?”
I was like, “Woah!” No way, he is 60 because he looks the same as when he did a Coca-Cola commercial in 1983.
That’s right; his career has been going strong for over 40 years. That means we have had 40 years to love him. Does he feel that love? He told the Good Morning America reporter, “I get to feel that sometimes on the street. I do get like, ‘Nice to see you, Mr. Wick.’ I get some Mr. Wicks, which are cool. And once in a while, I get an ‘Excellent!’ Some Utah, Johnny Utah, ‘Give me two.’
What would you say to him if you saw him on the street? I would say thank you for the enjoyable movies!
