Sausage Party is cuming to a TV near you! |

In 2016, we fell in love with the R-rated animated film Sausage Party, which was created by Seth Rogen’s brilliant and perverted (I say this with love) mind. The funny film was about food in a grocery store. Even though it is not kid-friendly, it makes us adults feel like kids. And we are still talking about it!
Therefore, Rogen teamed up with Prime Video to update us on our favorite foods. On July 11th, we are getting a TV series based on the film.
Sausage Party: Foodtopia follows Frank, Brenda, Barry, and Sammy as they try to build their own food society. Original feature film cast members Seth Rogen, Kristen Wiig, Michael Cera, David Krumholtz, and Edward Norton will return. Will Forte, Sam Richardson, Natasha Rothwell, and Yassir Lester are also set to lend their voices to the animated series.
I can’t wait to watch this with my nieces, who are still scarred from me showing it to them when they were single digits. Just because it is animated does not mean it is for kids, but I didn’t care. And I am still on a time-out for making them watch it. And this is why they call me the crazy aunt.

Did Mama Cass really die by eating a ham sandwich? |

If you asked someone how Mama Cass from the Mamas and Papas died, they would tell you she died choking on a ham sandwich. But is that how the 32-year-old met her fate in 1974?
Her daughter, Owen Elliot-Kugel, who was 7 at the time, wrote a memoir, and in My Mama Cass, she answers that question. Elliot-Kugel says she spoke to former Hollywood Reporter columnist Sue Cameron, who had called to check in on her mother on that dreadful day. She did, Cass’ manager, Alann Carr, picked up the phone. “He was crying and upset and he said, ‘There’s a half-eaten ham sandwich on the nightstand,’” recalls Cameron. In a panic, he told her, “You have to do this. Just say she died choking on the sandwich.”
Why would he lie? In the years leading up to her death, several other musicians like Jim Morrison, Jimi Hendrix, and Janis Joplin passed away from drug overdoses, and he was trying to protect Mama Cass in one final act for his client.
That lie haunted her daughter when she was growing up. But she tells People, “I really believe they were protecting her legacy. And they were trying to protect me. And in a weird way, I’m grateful for that crazy story. As much as it caused me grief, and people made jokes, I now realize it kept her relevant and ready to shine again.”
Even though there were drugs in Cass’ system, the singer’s cause of death was a heart attack.

Michael Richards comes out of hiding |

In the ’90s, everyone loved Michael Richards as Kramer on Seinfeld. But then, in 2006, the comedian went on a racist rant during a set at the Laugh Factor.
Since then, he has rarely been seen. However, yesterday, he came up to support his old boss, Jerry Seinfeld, at the premiere of the latter’s movie Unfrosted, which debuts Friday on Netflix.
I can feel the frost coming through the photo because, to me, both men come off as cold individuals, unlike Jason Alexander, who played a prick on the sitcom but is a really nice guy in real life.

Does the end of Back to the Future match up to the sequel? |

At the end of Back to the Future, Doc comes back to take Marty on another adventure. The sequel starts off with that scene. However, they reshot it, instead of using what they already had.
Someone from Rerun the 80s on Facebook wanted to know how well the two scenes matched up. So they got their VHS tapes, put them in the VCR, and played the two at the same starting point to see how close they were.
Did the director do a good job? Watch the video, and let me know. All I will say is that I was blown away like a leaf that was in the path of the DeLorean as it sped by to go time traveling!
Seriously, isn’t this like the coolest?

On April 13th, we got to meet Dean and Jeff, who look a lot like Beavis and Butt-Head, on Saturday Night Live.
The duo has gotten so much attention over the last few weeks that they were invited to the premiere of Fall Guy yesterday. And they were a hit!
Hopefully, this is the first of many public appearances for the premiere.
If I were Paramount, I would call Mike Judge, Ryan Gosling, and Mikey Day’s people ASAP and tell them we need a live-action Beavis and Butt-Head movie made with the latter two starring in the title roles.
