A few years ago, Dolly Parton was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, and since then, she has done numerous duets with Rockers like Steve Perry, Steven Tyler, and Stevie Nicks.
And those made sense. Today, Mötley Crüe released a duet of Home Sweet Home with Dolly. I think it is her best duet yet. I can’t believe I am saying that, but her voice really works with their song.
Nikki Sixx, Tommy Lee, and Vince Neil said in a statement: “For an icon like Dolly Parton to sing on a song that has not only meant so much to us but to all the fans through the years, is a career high that means a lot to us. We couldn’t be happier to celebrate the 40th anniversary of ‘Home Sweet Home’ in this special way, and we’re excited to share this version of the song with all the Dolly and Mötley fans around the world.”
Their fans have something to look forward to on September 12th. They are releasing, From The Beginning, a greatest hits album that includes 40 years of hits, including this song.
A portion of the proceeds from the single will go to the Covenant House, a charity close to their hearts.
