DJ Jazzy Jeff & The Fresh Prince to tour next year?
November 3rd, 2006 under Whatever happened to.... [ Comments: none ]

DJ JAZZY JEFF and THE FRESH PRINCE are making a comeback – at Pontins in Prestatyn. The rappers have decided to dust off their bling for a tour called Boom! Shake The Land next year. Jazzy is announcing the duo’s return later this month at the holiday resort in north Wales where he is a special guest DJ for the BCM reunion. But I can’t imagine WILL SMITH will be busting a gut to get there. A source said: “They started out 21 years ago and are still great pals. “Will is in London later this month and Jazzy is trying to work it so he can nip to see him in Prestatyn.” The twosome first hit the scene in 1985 with Girls Ain’t Nothing But Trouble and since then have gone on to sell over 10 million records worldwide with hits such as Boom! Shake The Room. * The dynamic duo have also won three Grammy Awards, three American Music Awards, two NAACP Awards, two Soul Train Music Awards, as well as an MTV Music Award. While DJ Jazzy turned to producing – he is the founder and CEO of A Touch Of Jazz Inc – The Fresh Prince made blockbusters movies such as Bad Boys, Men In Black and I-Robot. But now the pair will step up to the mic once again with their tour next year.

The Sun Bizarre

OMG that is kind of cool! I might even get tickets for the show if they are not too much!

Whatever happened to the cast of Baywatch?
October 26th, 2006 under Whatever happened to.... [ Comments: none ]

Erika Eleniak – Shauni McClain

The lovely Erika Eleniak was the leading Baywatch lady for 3 seasons. Erika sprung to fame by getting naked for Playboy. Once on Baywatch she dated Billy Warlock (Eddie Kramer) in real life and on set and was fatally the reason why Erika left the set. Billy was a very jealous sort, heard to say, "I can’t bear anyone else to see her body" (slight problem there regarding playboy). Her return to fame came in the form of a cake..Jumping out of one to be precise in the action thriller ‘Under Siege’. She then appeared in the US series Celebrity Fit Club in an effort to lose the weight following the birth of her baby – and you will be pleased to hear, returning to her former slender glory.

David Hasselhoff – Mitch Buchannon

Creator and star of the Baywatch Empire, the man is in the Guinness Book of Records as ‘The Most Watched TV Star in the World!’ The Hoff was, of course, famous before joining Baywatch, offering up such delicious visual treats as ‘Knight Rider’ and ‘The Love Boat’. Lesser known are his forays into foreign film, with gems such as ‘Zartliche Chaoten II’, also known as ‘The Lovable Zanies II’. He was also a musical wonder appreciated most by the Japanese and Germans (probably because of his understanding of beach towels). But, more importantly, what is he doing now? What, you ask, has the man who rocked the Berlin Wall been doing since he shuffled off the coil of Mitch Buchannon? As luck would have it he fell straight into a spectacular role in the scintillating production ‘Jeckyll & Hyde: The Musical’. With his curiosity for dramatic works sated, he has recently returned to the big screen with ‘Click’ but not before writing his autobiography, ‘Makin’ Waves’- a sizzling account of his whirlwind adventures in the land of fame.

Jill Riley – Shawn Weatherly

In 1989 Shawn Weatherly was cast as lifeguard Jill Riley, a job she held until March of 1990 (when most Baywatch viewers were actually born). Her character came to a rather ugly end where she was attacked by a shark and formed part of their dinner. In real life however, Shawn was heralded as a beauty winning both Miss USA and Miss Universe titles. She bashfully admitted: "My job is not the exhibition of my body. Talking with people and making friends in all nations is my main duty" Kofi Annan better hold onto his job tightly. Nowadays she can be found living in Waresboro, Georgia and has performed cameo roles in Chicago Hope and that’s about it….

Billy Warlock – Eddie Kramer

Playing the infamous Eddie Kramer or as we affectionately came to know him, AJ Quatermarine, Billy Warlock started his career as a double for Robin Williams in an episode of Mork and Mindy, also beating Michael J Fox to the role of Flip Phillips in a season of Happy Days. He continued his high rising career by achieving a role on, you guessed it, Days of Our Lives, winning an Emmy Award for his epic acting monologues and ability to end scenes without blinking for ten seconds. However, his true fame was realised when he left Days to star on Baywatch. Living the American Dream he got engaged to his on screen love Erika Eleniak in 1993 until they broke up. Poor guy. He finally vacated his role in March 2005 and decided to return; yes you guessed it, to his former role as Frankie Brady on Days. His tendency to live out his on screen relationships reappeared (this guy watches too much television) and he married his fellow Days actress Julie Pinson in Vegas, August 2006. When Billy is not working, he can be found on the ski slopes of Colorado and eating Krispy Kreme donuts. See you in Celebrity Fit Club Five!

Pamela Anderson – CJ
The darling of them all, PAMMY! The good-time girl we all grew to love as dizzy blond boob-meister CJ. What kind of horrible filth is Ms Andersen dishing out these days you ask? Pretty much the same as always really – she’s a girl who knows what her audience wants, which is lots of scandals and a huge pair of charlies. Her attempt at producing and starring in her own show (V.I.P) died the death in 2002 after only 4 seasons, so she fell back on Playboy and all her old chums therein. In April 1999 the male world was traumatised by Pamela’s breast reduction and many were shocked and wondered how Andersen’s career could go on without big breasts. But then, hoorah! When posing nude on the cover of ‘Stuff’ in 2004 it was obvious that her bubbies were back! A sigh of relief resounded through the male population. Bored and feeling a bit stagnant career-wise, a happy accident sent her hurtling back into the limelight recently with the unofficial release of her home porno video. This actually set off a popular trend in the industry, and celeb-bonking sessions were top dollar for a while, with or without the celebrities’ consent. Tut tut. Naughty internet! Nevertheless, Pammy’s such a goer she’s bound to be back on our telly soon. First Baywatch. Then Barbwire. Next -The World!
Alexandra Paul – Stephanie Holden

This leads us to wonder whatever happened to Steph, Mitch’s plain, po-faced wife, and token ugly Baywatch female. Well, for a post-Baywatch ‘babe’ there are only two roads you can travel: porn or soap opera, and as the former didn’t really suit the image (except for those with very specific tastes) it was on to a career in Melrose Place, with Heather Locklear and David Charvet. Alexandra Paul got married in 2000 with the happy couple sending out their invitations on hemp, the party food was meat-free, and nobody was allowed to bring presents in order to ‘reduce consumption of natural resources.’ And to top of this hippy cheese-fest, her identical twin sister conducted the ceremony! In her memories of Baywatch, she recalls her favourite scene: "My character went through skin cancer surgery, and when I woke up in the scene, I had full make-up on, glossy lips and mascara..I still cringe when I see that scene." Rubbish, you loved it woman!

David Charvet – Matt Brody

Now what about Baywatch’s hunky chunky David Charvet, everybody’s favourite French lifeguard? Despite having dated Pamela Andersen during the second series he decided that Baywatch was not for him. He is a deep, feeling sort of chap and claimed the show’s superficiality wore him down. So he moved on to Melrose Place. And stayed there for two years. In 1996 he spurned this show too, making a winning move towards starting a career in music. He currently has a ponce-mungous website devoted to his unbearable French warblings, in which he openly snubs the world of Baywatch and all that it entails. His website bio reads: "So too bad if some people see David as only a good-looking guy, a neo-singer out to charm the girls. He couldn’t care less about such clichés." That told us, eh? "He’d rather let you reach your own conclusions by having you listen to his latest compositions." Er, perhaps not..

Yasmine Bleeth – Caroline Holden (1994 – 1997)

Voted one of People Magazine’s ’50 Most Beautiful’ of 1995, Yasmine starred as Caroline Holden on the internationally renowned, high rated, hit series ‘Baywatch’..we wouldn’t expect any less from being the cute ‘Johnson & Johnson Baby’ at the age of 6 months. The sister of lifeguard Lt. Stephanie Holden, Caroline developed a romantic interest in fellow lifeguard, Logan Fowler, (gggrrrr) played by Jaason Simmons. Most Baywatch stars appeared in Playboy at the height of their fame on Baywatch, while Pammy and Carmen had already appeared before joining the show. Yasmine recently shot the follow-up video to the The Rembrandt’s number one single, "I’ll Be There For You," entitled "This House is not a Home" and in November, she will begin production on "The Face," a Movie of the Week for NBC. Yasmine currently resides in Los Angeles with husband and former bar owner, Paul Cerrito.

Carmen Elektra – Lani Mckenzie (1997 – 1998)
What better bod to be adorning the super slinky red Baywatch swimsuit than the maker of the very hot new work out that’s sweeping the nation, ‘Carmen Electra Aerobic Striptease’..where Carmen teaches you the Striptease Basics, her favourite moves and much more. Since regular roles in Baywatch, she has appeared in a comic book, acted as a national spokesperson for Budweiser and recently filmed a small role in the independent feature DUST AND STARDUST, a movie about making it and not making it in Hollywood. Her marriage to Dennis Rodman not working out, she had a brief affair with Tommy Lee (Oopsi Pam), before moving on to marry former head guitarist for the rock band Jane’s Addiction and admitting she lusts after Kate Moss. Carmen secured the role of Hutch’s girlfriend in ‘Starsky and Hutch’ and is currently filming the hilarious, horror spoof – ‘Scary Movie 4’. She also regularly performs with the exotic dance troupe The Pussycat Dolls.

Female First (Thanks for doing that)
The only thing missing is all the scandals that a bunch of then were involved in!

Marisa Tomei and Lisa Bonet: Reunited and it looks so bad
September 18th, 2006 under Whatever happened to.... [ Comments: none ]

Time has not been nice to Lisa Bonet. Remember when Lisa Bonet thought she was going to be star and left The Cosby Show? I guess that did not work out that well for her.
Marisa Tomei was just on Rescue Me and she looked great, so maybe it is the lighting? Or maybe not!

OMG they found Cousin Oliver!
September 4th, 2006 under The Brady Bunch, Whatever happened to.... [ Comments: none ]

Wanna see something scary? Read this interview with Robbie Rist, who will forever be known as The Brady Bunch’s reviled Cousin Oliver, and scroll down to see what he looks like today at age 42. (I’m trying to convince myself that it’s my own lost youth that makes me shudder when I look at this picture, not the appearance of this fellow who looks like Ted Nugent with Cousin Oliver’s face PhotoShopped on.) At least Rist is a good sport, talking pleasantly about his show-killer reputation (besides helping The Brady Bunch jump the shark, he also played a kid Ted and Georgette adopted during the final season of The Mary Tyler Moore Show, and he was on CBS’ Early Show the day Bryant Gumbel left), his music career (you can hear his tunes on his MySpace page), and the horror movie he’s currently taking around the festival circuit, called Stump the Band.Washington Post blogger Liz Kelly calls herself a big dork for how much she enjoyed talking to Rist, but I think I can out-dork her. Recently, I was watching a Simon & Simon rerun, one from the first season, when they still had the good Tejano-style theme song. It was on Sleuth, that new channel on the nether reaches of your cable dial that’s dedicated to reruns of old cop shows. As I was watching Gerald McRaney and wondering how this fairly bland drugstore cowboy could have transformed himself into Deadwood’s thoroughly evil and terrifying Hearst, I spotted the kid actor at the center of the episode’s plot (he was a teenage hacker, probably before the term had been coined, who’d been kidnapped by evil bank employees and forced to help them embezzle funds electronically) and immediately identified him as Rist. He was about 17 but still looked 13. I felt myself torn between anticipating his rescue and hoping for his demise because, after all, he was Cousin Oliver.Dork that, Liz Kelly!
