Over the weekend, U2 was forced to a cancel a concert midway through because Bono lost his voice. Turns out he is not the only singer to be afflicted with laryngitis.
The Foo Fighters cancelled two dates because of it. In a statement from the band, they said, “After opening this leg of the tour September 1 at Safeco Field in Seattle, Dave Grohl suffered a loss of voice and is now on vocal rest. Then they added, ‘That’s the last time I ever make out with Bono,’ Grohl commented.”
I guess both singers still haven’t found what that are looking for…a voice. But at least one of them found something to laugh about in the silence.
Get well guys because I want to see that making out video!
Bono was having a beautiful day, but he had an ugly night yesterday during a concert in Berlin. Midway through the show, his voice went out and he was forced to cancel the concert.
Shortly afterward U2 released this statement, “We’re so sorry for tonight’s cancellation. Bono was in great form and great voice prior to the show and we were all looking forward to the second night in Berlin, but after a few songs, he suffered a complete loss of voice.” Then they added, “We don’t know what has happened and we’re taking medical advice.”
Hopefully, it is nothing serious because we are not ready to have his voice silenced. People love their shows, and more of them should go to see the band live.
U2 is in NY and the band got stuck in the snow storm they just had there. Instead of staying inside until Sunday Bloody Sunday, they went for a walk in the park.
There is no other reason to post this other than it is just so cool looking. Could you imagine walking your dog, looking to the left and seeing U2 going for a stroll? You would be like no way, then OMG yes it is. Do you run to them? What do you do?
Bono showed up to Glamour Magazine’s Women of the Year gala and looks like that wasn’t the only thing that was showing up. His pants were so tight that I think we finally found what we are looking for, you know the place where the streets have no name. U2 see it, right?
We are used to seeing Bono wearing a black jacket, a black tee, a black jacket and dark sunglasses, but I don’t think we have ever seen him wear a bib. That all changed because the Rocker donned one when he ate at Hrvoje Zirojević’s restaurant Laganini.
That is the sign of a true Rock Star, wearing a bib while holding a glass of vino at 56 and letting someone take a photo of you wearing it. Rock on!
