Susan Lucci shared a photo of herself on a plane with her husband, and I can’t get over how young she looks. She is 68 years young, but she looks like someone half her age. I want to know how the Soap Opera Queen does it.

David Letterman is retiring from late night television some time next year, and it appears that he is already looking for his next job. Yesterday on The Late Show he used his time to audition for The Young & The Restless because the CBS late night host heard they were hiring. So how did he do? The CBS soap opera Tweeted this today, “YOU’RE HIRED, DAVE!”
I think he is going to be great as Nikki and Victor’s secret teenage daughter!
Will you watch him on the daytime drama?

Alison Sweeney checks into General Hospital |

Back in January, Alison Sweeney shocked the soap world when she announced that she was leaving Days of our Lives after 21 years. Well today, she rocked that world once again because Soap Opera Digest is reporting that she is going to General Hospital. Before you go WTF? She left Salem, her only home for Port Charles; she is not. At this point, she is only going to be directing for them. I say at this point because you never now what might happen once she is on the set. Plus, there are few old colleagues to welcome aboard, and she might want to spend more time with them.
I wouldn’t mind seeing her on GH, but then again she will always be Sami Brady to me. How would you feel if she joined the lone ABC soap?

Ron Moss comes back to soap operas! |

There’s some good news and some bad news for soap opera fans. The good news is that Ron Moss is returning to daytime TV after a two year absence. The bad news is he’s going to General Hospital according to Soap Opera Digest and not to The Bold and The Beautiful. What he will be doing and how long he will be there is unknown, but according to SOD the B&B original starts on the show this week. That has to be a big blow to fans of the CBS show, who are probably singing Baby Come Back to them right about now. How upset are you that he is going to GH instead of B&B?
Hey GH, now would be a great time to get Rick Springfield back on the daytime drama so the two singers/actors can do a duet together. Who else is feeling that besides me?

Alison Sweeney is leaving Days of our Lives |

Alison Sweeney will be on The Ellen DeGeneres Show tomorrow and she has a huge announcement. After being on Days of our Lives for over 21 years, she will be saying goodbye to her home, since she was 16, later this year. She explained that she wants spend more time with her kids, after doing both the soap opera and The Biggest Loser for the last 7 years.
I can’t say I blame her, but I will miss her. It will be interesting to see how the Daytime Drama survives without its baddest girl.
Finally, how do you want to see Sami Brady leave Salem? Hopefully it won’t be in a coffin. Although on DOOL, just because your dead, doesn’t mean you are dead.
