Back in March, Tom Hanks was gracious enough to meet one of his biggest fans. What makes Sarah Moretti so special that he would invite her his Broadway dressing room? The young woman has autism and according to the description on the YouTube page following his career has “made her life better.”
The two-time Oscar winner made her feel special, not because she has autism but since she is a big fan of his. It is for that reason that we will always be a huge fan of his because he cares about his fans and appreciates them.
I didn’t need another reason to love him, so these videos just made me love him even more. Seriously, don’t you know how humble and genuine he is even after winning two Oscars an being in some of the biggest movies ever made?
Tom Hanks was on The Jonathon Ross Show and the talk show host showed off a piano keyboard like the one that was used in that memorable scene from the classic movie Big. The two started out with Chopsticks and then they went for a song with a much faster tune. Once that was done, Sandra Bullock came out and Forrest Gump and her did Chopsticks together. Yet there was note they couldn’t hit.
If this video doesn’t brighten your Monday morning, I don’t know what will. No matter how old Hanks get, he still makes us feel like he did when he that kid trapped in a man’s body in Big. In ways the Oscar winner never grew up and that is a good thing.
The first trailer is out for Parkland; and if the trailer is any hint about how amazing the movie is, I think we have an Oscar winner on our hands. I don’t remember the last time a trailer wowed me like this one.
Maybe because I am obsessed with John F Kennedy’s assassination, but I think this movie will do that moment justice.
I can’t wait to see this movie that stars Zac Efron, Marcia Gay Harden, Ron Livingston, Tom Welling and Paul Giamatti when it comes out on October 4th.

BTW how did I not know that Tom Hanks was such a good singer? To think of all of the movie musicals he could’ve been in but wasn’t. He would’ve been better than Richard Gere was in Chicago and Pierce Brosnan in Mamma Mia to name a few.
Almost a third of a century after Tom Hanks and Peter Scolari started working together on a little show called Bosom Buddies, they are teaming up again for another project next year. Buffy and Hildegarde, I mean Kip and Henry, will be starring in Lucky Guy on Broadway. According to Playbill the Nora Ephron play is about “the scandal- and graffiti-ridden New York of the 1980s, as told through the story of the charismatic and controversial tabloid columnist Mike McAlary (Hanks). From his sensational reporting of New York’s major police corruption to the libel suit that nearly ended his career, the play dramatizes the story of McAlary’s meteoric rise, fall and rise again, ending with his coverage of the Abner Louima case for which he won the Pulitzer Prize, shortly before his untimely death on Christmas Day, 1998.”
The play begins previews at the Broadhurst Theatre on March 1st and opens on my birthday April 1st. So I will try my hardest to be a lucky girl and see Lucky Guy on my B-day because I have had such crushes on both of them because of that sitcom and that would be my perfect gift!
Seriously how awesome is that they have remained Bosom Buddies for all of these decades!
