Tonight’s Last Man Standing is a ‘very special episode’
December 6th, 2013 under ABC, Tim Allen. [ Comments: none ]

During the ’70s, ’80s and ’90s sitcoms had ‘very special episodes’ that tackled the big issues of the day like drugs, kidnapping and loss of virginity. Well tonight at 8p on ABC Last Man Standing is bringing that back to broadcast TV when they handle the topic of spanking.
When Bud (Robert Forster) admits that he spanked his great-grandson, Boyd (Flynn Morrison), for disobeying him, everyone in the family gets mad at him. Boyd’s parents, Kristin (Amanda Fuller) and Ryan (Jordan Masterson), don’t think that kids should be punished and they give their son sugar to get him to do what they want. Boyd’s grandparents, Mike (Tim Allen) and Vanessa (Nancy Travis), have their own opinions on the matter. So now the whole family is debating whether or not is OK to physically punish your kid when they disobey you.
It is an interesting topic that a lot of households ponder, and Last Man Standing handles it very well with the proper amount of humor. So tune in for what I hope is the official return of the ‘very special episode’ and also a really good episode that looks at both sides of the issue.

Make a date to watch Last Man Standing and Malibu Country tonight
March 22nd, 2013 under ABC, Tim Allen. [ Comments: none ]

Tonight on ABC at 8p Last Man Standing and Malibu Country are airing their seasons finales and you don’t want to miss either one.
At 8p Tim Allen and Jonathan Taylor Thomas are reunited on Last Man Standing and they are a lot of one-liners between the two former castmates. But it isn’t only about them, Mandy (Molly Ephraim) finds out where she’s going to college and Kristin (Amanda Fuller) makes a huge decision. Looks like there will be a lot of changes when the show comes back for a third season next year. Although ABC hasn’t said that it will be back, you know it will be.
Then at 8:30p Reba goes on a date on Malibu Country with Stacy Keach and they learn people lie on their online profiles. But don’t worry one of them gets lucky! Reba isn’t the only one having an interesting date because Cash (Justin Prentice) goes out with a much older lady, will it be everything that he dreamed of? You will have to tune in to find out and to see Warehouse 13’s Eddie McClintock guest star as a potential love interest for the red head next season. Hopefully there will be one because this show has been a perfect way to end the week.

Love Arrow from the Last Man Standing!
February 16th, 2013 under ABC, Tim Allen. [ Comments: none ]

Now that Robin Sparkles is officially retired from How I Met Your Mother, it looks like we have another sitcom song goddess ready to replace her! Mandy Baxter debuted her single on Last Man Standing yesterday and I can’t get the song out of my head. Only problem is I started singing it in a public place and now I have phone numbers I have to call!
Seriously don’t you just love that song!

Julie Bowen asks her TV son to punch Tim Allen!
November 15th, 2012 under Jay Leno, Modern Family, Tim Allen. [ Comments: none ]

Modern Family’s Nolan Gould was a guest on The Tonight Show and Julie Bowen had a message for the other guest on the NBC late night show. She wanted her TV son to punch Tim Allen because he once said, “Julie Bowen is where young soldiers go to learn a potty mouth.” The Last Man Standing didn’t even deny what he said, in fact he added that if you have been around Leah Remini and her together “Teamsters run.” And I think Allen will be running for his life at the ABC Christmas party since both women also have shows on the same network as him, and I am sure they will confront him at it. I wonder what ABC will be airing in the 8p slot on Fridays, once the two of them are done doing whatever they are going to do to him.
BTW Gould didn’t punch Tim “Tool Time” Taylor, but instead he agreed that his TV mom does have a mouth her. And I don’t see what is so bad about that.

You don’t want to shake Tim Allen’s hands
February 23rd, 2012 under ABC, Talk Shows, Tim Allen. [ Comments: none ]

Tim Allen was on The Tonight Show yesterday and he told Jay Leno how the movie Contagion changed his outlook on washing his hands. After he saw the movie, he couldn’t stop washing them. Then as time went on he wondered how soap makes a difference, so he kept asking people. Finally someone told him that all it does is just slide the germs off. So he stopped washing his hands after that. So on that note if you ever meet him, I wouldn’t shake his hand because he hasn’t washed it after he shook something else.
