Rosie pisses off the AAJA
December 9th, 2006 under The View. [ Comments: none ]

HEY, all you Chinese-speakers out there in TV land – Rosie O’Donnell thinks you should get a sense of humor! The Asian-American Journalists Association was fuming after O’Donnell went on "The View" Thursday and said that Danny DeVito’s drunk turn on the show days earlier was "international news! In China it was like, ‘Ching chong, ching-ching-chong, Danny DeVito!’ " In a statement yesterday, the AAJA said, "We consider this a mockery of the Chinese language and, in effect, a perpetration of stereotypes of Asian-Americans as foreigners or second-class citizens. The use of the distorted phrases is insulting to the Chinese and Chinese-Americans, and gives the impression that they are a group that is substandard to English-speaking people." But a rep for O’Donnell said, "She’s a comedian in addition to being a talk show co-host. I certainly hope that one day they will be able to grasp her humor."

Actually the joke wasn’t funny, so I side with AAJA…if it were funny then I would’ve sided with her. LOL!

Rosie told The View she is going to Nip/Tuck?
December 5th, 2006 under Nip/Tuck, The View. [ Comments: none ]

Is Rosie O’Donnell joining the cast of "Nip / Tuck" full time? That’s what Rosie said during a break on the set of "The View" today. She said she’s been offered the female lead of the show since Joley Richardson is leaving for a year. She said that she’d play the character of Dawn Budge, who was introduced in a guest role this past (the show’s 4th) season. Dawn would be the owner of the plastic surgery center and do things like "sneak Cher in the back door" and then hire paparazzi to take pictures. Rosie added that it would be a 15-week shoot in LA. She didn’t say if she was going to do it, but it sounded very much like she’s leaning towards it. No word on how this could affect her schedule with "The View," but Rosie has said that she’s only signed on to co-host for one season of Barbara Walters’ morning talk-fest.

Access Hollywood

I hope this is false because I hated her on Nip/Tuck.

Rosie O’Donnell vs Kelly Ripa over Clay Aiken
November 21st, 2006 under Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos, The View. [ Comments: none ]

If a guy who’s– how do put this– gayish but not openly gay, covers your mouth on daytime TV and you later scold him for it, could that be considered homophobic? According to Rosie O’Donnell, the answer is yes. Today on The View, Rosie called Kelly Ripa out for the way she reacted to Clay’s manhandling on Regis & Kelly. Ripa didn’t take to kindly to the insinuation that she’s a homophobe, so she called in to The View this morning to give her side of the story. Who’s side are you on: Rosie’s or Kelly’s? And is it even possible to be called a homophobe when the person you’re talking about isn’t even gay? Well, openly gay. Best Week Ever After watching the clip of Clay on Regis and Kelly, I have to tell you I side with him. She would not let him get a word in edgewise and he tried all he could to say anything. I have also read that she puts her hand over Regis’ mouth, but since I do not watch the show I have no way to know if that is true. Now when it comes to Rosie, I do think she jumped the gun by calling Kelly a homophobe. I also think that Kelly did not help her case by calling in. In fact I think it made her look worse. I have also read that Clay did appologise to her and you can see he was remorseful for his actons on the show…what more does she want him to do? Below is the clip of Clay Aiken co-hostin on Live with Regis and Kelly:

Doesn’t sound like Rosie O’Donnell likes being in the spotlight again?
September 23rd, 2006 under The View. [ Comments: none ]

i hate rainy days
i would not survive seattle
gloom descends
necessary

it feels like a job
not my whole life
gratitude
earned

again…the press screams
my name in bold
skip good or bad
distraction

a gay one showed up
surrogate perfect girls in photos
from long island
my age 2

no matter how much i opened
he could not see in
took the easy way out
gay flag and all

jim mcgreevys hands were shaking
in the green room
humanity trumps celebrity
grace enters for all

quitting aol
as my face appears
way 2 often
with a survey underneath

believe what u feel
u know
inside
what is real

r blog

At least I think she doesn’t? I just never understand what she writes in her blog.
