RIP Corey Haim
March 10th, 2010 under Obits, The Two Coreys. [ Comments: none ]

Corey passed away today from a suspected prescription drug overdose at the age of 38 according to KABC. Corey was known for his roles in Silver Bullet, Lucas, The Lost Boys, Dream a Little Dream, License to Drive and so many more awesome movies from the ’80s and ’90s. A few years he teamed up with Corey Feldman to do a reality show on A&E about their fading friendship, and by the end of it they were no longer talking. Last month I posted video of the two of them reunited and I thought that because Haim was bloated he was getting the help he so desperately needed, but I was wrong. The thing that is good about that video is it shows that The Two Coreys were friends again and Feldman’s heart should be eased by the fact that when Haim died they parted as friends and not as enemies so he doesn’t have the regret if only I made up with him.
Now when it comes to Haim’s death, it sincerely saddens me because it looks to be another senseless death in Hollywood due to prescription drugs. It is so sad that it looks like he never was able to conquer the demon that eventually killed him. Corey Haim was a true Lost Boy.
I pray that his mother, whom he was very close to, some how gets through this.
And now enough of the sadness, put in one of his classic movies from the ’80s today and remember the good times we had of him!

UPDATE: Corey Feldman blogged about the lost of his best friend and brother.

I was awakened at 8:30 this morning by my brother and sister knocking on my bedroom door. They informed me of the loss of my brother Corey Haim. My eyes weren’t even open all the way when the tears started streaming down my face. I am so sorry for Corey, his mother Judy, his family, my family, all of our fans, and of course my son who I will have to find a way to explain this to when he gets home from school. This is a tragic loss of a wonderful, beautiful, tormented soul, who will always be my brother, family, and best friend. We must all take this as a lesson in how we treat the people we share this world with while they are still here to make a difference. Please respect our families as we struggle and grieve through this difficult time. I hope the art Corey has left behind will be remembered as the passion of that for which he truly lived. ~ Corey

The Two Coreys are together again
February 18th, 2010 under The Two Coreys. [ Comments: none ]

When The Two Coreys ended on A&E, BFFs Corey Feldman and Corey vowed never be friends again. Well since that show ended Corey Feldman and his wife got a divorce and I guess even though he lost a wife, he gained back his best friend. Now that these two are friends again, I wonder if A&E will do a 3rd season of their reality show. Or better yet maybe they will do another movie together? Wait scratch that, after seeing how Corey Haim looks now maybe being in front of the camera wouldn’t be the best thing for us. On that note what is up with that reverse tail that Corey Feldman is sporting? Didn’t you just want to pull it or cut it off when you were watching that video from HollywoodTV?

Corey Feldman’s marriage is no longer Zen

Just about two weeks short of their 7 year anniversary, Susie Feldman has filed for divorce from Corey Feldman siting Irreconcilable Differences according to TMZ. Corey and Susie were married on October 30, 2002 on The Surreal Life by MC Hammer and were also featured on A&E’s The Two Coreys, so I guess you can say it is another reality show marriage go bust. The two have a 5 year old son, Zen Scott that Susie is asking for full custody.
I wonder what happened because they looked so happy in that picture that was taken a month ago. I am sure one of them will be talking soon about what went wrong, more her than him.
Maybe now that Feldman and Susie have split, he will get back to being friends with Corey Haim. Nah that will never happen.

Lost Boys 3 is coming, but with only one Corey
March 17th, 2009 under The Two Coreys. [ Comments: 4 ]

The Two Coreys might officially have a stake in their heart, but the Lost Boys franchise will live on like a Vampire. According to Bloody Disgusting, Lost Boys will be back for a third installment centering around Edgar Frog aka Corey Feldman. Feldman will also serve as an Executive Producer for the straight-to-DVD movie that is currently in the writing stages. I think is going to be weird to have a Lost Boys movie without The Two Coreys, don’t you think so too?

UPDATE: Corey Feldman confirms some of the news on his blog…

Now on to the rumors of the day….well I guess it’s an old rumor that’s coming back around. LOST BOYS 3? Is it real? There have been a myriad of reports over the last 24 hrs suddenly surrounding the supposed production of LB3. Some of them are true some of them aren’t. As this is all in a very early stage, for now all I can tell you is this…….YES I have made a deal with Warner Brothers /Warner Premier to executive produce and act in Lost Boys 3, and yes they have made a deal with a writer to write a script for such a movie. BUT those are the only details that I can confirm at this time. There has been much speculation as to what characters will be involved and what the story line might be, and all I can say is I haven’t even seen a script yet. So I most definitely cannot confirm or deny any facts as they don’t exist yet to the best of my knowledge. Again this is in the very early stages and I am not even sure how this got leaked to the press. If and when there are some actual details I will be sure to let you know.

Corey Haim’s new show makes me Cry Little Sister
January 13th, 2009 under The Two Coreys. [ Comments: 8 ]

Corey Haim is pitching a new reality show with G Tom Mac (who did the Lost Boys theme Cry Little Sister) called Lost Boy Found. If Corey Haim, who is now broke and homeless can remain sober G Tom Mac will take him on tour with him. OMG how sad is that?
His website did not say if any network had shown any interest in the show, but I personally cannot see them jumping at the show. I think it might almost be too much to watch, but if it did get picked up I would probably watch it. Would you?
