For 30 years, Hank Azaria has been doing more voices than anyone can count on The Simpsons and yesterday he revealed where some of them came from on The Howard Stern Show.
He told the Shock Jock that Moe the Bartender came from him doing a bad Al Pacino impression during a play with some gravelly Red the Bartender added in. Chief Wiggum is a “weird Edward G. Robinson” from the Film Noir cop days. Apu is a combination of kids he grew up with from India and the man he knew who worked the 7-Eleven near him in Los Angeles. Snake is someone he knew from college who really enjoyed his drugs. Comic Book Guy also came from his college days, he was his next door neighbor from Freshman year. Finally, Lou the Cop is a bad Sylvester Stallone impression.
Will we get any new voices from him? He said, “I think I have done every voice that I can possibly do. Every sound that I can make as a human being has been used.” Even though he says that, I am sure he will find a way.

Even though The Simpsons has been on 28 seasons, they have never had an one hour episode. That is until tonight at 8p on Fox and it is jam packed with laughs and Rap! But I have said too much for now.
Mr Burns has a party at his Mid Hamptons’ summer estate and invites everyone we love from Springfield. Sadly, it is such a cheap dud that all the guests but Homer leaves. As the two men are sitting and talking, they notice a party at the mansion across the way. When they get there Hip Hop icon Jay G is throwing the White Party of the Century and he has connection to Mr Burns. The business man’s book was such an inspiration that the Rapper became the mogul that he is today. The two of them bond and Jay G reignites Monty’s passion to spend his money again. Burns gets so into it, that he spends it all of it and finds out Jay G set out to destroy the former tycoon.
Now Mr Burns is out to get revenge and he recruits Jay G’s wife (Taraji P Henson), RZA, Snoop Dogg and Common for a Revenge Rap. But Jay G wins them back. There is only way for Burns to burn Jay G and it might be too far even for him. It is something you have to see to believe!
Besides all of that Rapping, Lisa starts to date a really rich kid who she tries to make less superficial. Can she do it?
Then in the second half hour, Marge opens a store. You’ll never believe what she is selling. Will anyone but us buy it?
Did I mention there are several Hip Hop songs in the hour long gem? Guess how many are sung by The Simpsons?
Even though tonight’s episode is an hour it feels like a half hour and you will want it to be two hours long because it is that awesome!

Back in 2000, The Simpsons predicted that Lisa Simpson would inherit the Presidency from a President Trump. Due his reign the Country was left flat broke.
Dan Greaney, the man who wrote the episode, told The Hollywood Reporter, “It was a warning to America,” adding “And that just seemed like the logical last stop before hitting bottom. It was pitched because it was consistent with the vision of America going insane.”
And now 16 years later we have gone that insane.
F*cking Simpsons needs to use their psychic ability for good like they have done for a Super Bowl and World Series, and not bad like they did for the President of the United States.

Last month, The Simpsons aired its 600th episode. Only one other Primetime scripted show has filmed more episode and that show is Gunsmoke. The Western aired a total of 635 episodes before riding off into the sunset forever.
In order for the animated show to beat Gunsmoke, it would need another season. Today, not only did Fox give them that order, it gave them another one on top of that. Therefore, not only will it get to episode 636, they will also get to 666 and 669.
I don’t know what I am more excited for, episode 636 or episode 666. You know they will have to do something special for that Hellish episode that will air sometime in the Spring of 2018.
But a year before that we will get to the magic episodes that will shatter a television record and I hope that they do something special for the monumental episodes that probably will not happen again in our lifetime. Or until South Park catches up a few years later.
But will South Park do more episodes than The Simpsons? Only time will tell…

Can you believe that The Simpsons is turning 600 tonight at 8p on Fox? It is and they are doing it with their annual Treehouse of Horror episode. Past arch nemesises will be back to haunt them at the beginning of the show before we get into another epic couch gag. From there we go to their take of Hunger Games with Monty Burns hogging all of the water. Once that spooky tale ends, all of Lisa Simpson’s best friends are getting murdered. Who is killing the off? Finally it is time for the best story of the night. Moe’s has a secret lair underneath the bar and all the patrons have a secret. One that they are finally ready to share with Bart.
Tonight’s Treehouse of Horror is so good, you will be wishing for 600 more Simpsons episodes. I am sure they have it in them.
