Tonight’s The Secret Life of the American Teenager is a powerful, well-done episode that is a must watch on ABC Family at 8p. The time has come for Ben and Adrian’s baby to come in to the world and something goes terribly wrong. I will not tell you what happens to their daughter because watching the brilliant job that Ken Baumann and Francia Raisa do dealing with the birth, will draw you in and you will want to watch it all play out as it happens. Seriously what these two actors do in this hour will amaze you. It is incredible that two such young actors can pull off what they do in this heart-wrenching episode.
Seriously tonight’s Secret Life is perfectly scripted and performed so realistically, it gives the network dramas a run for their money. The Emmys will never acknowledge how well done tonight’s show is, but we don’t need them to tell us this is one of the finest hours of television this year. Kudos to the cast and crew for pulling it off and I can’t wait to see how the ABC Family drama continue the storyline next week and throughout the summer on Mondays at 8p.
Before Shailene Woodley was living the Secret Life of an American Teenager, she living the secret life of a pre-teen for LeapFrog. How cute was the 11 year old in that 2003 commercial?
It only took three and a half seasons, but Molly Ringwald finally made a 16 Candles reference on her ABC Family show Secret Life of the American Teenager. On this week’s episode everyone forgot Amy’s birthday and when Ringwald realizes they forgot her daughter’s birthday she said, “Everyone forgot my 16th birthday and it stayed with me my whole life!” And to make things even more like the movie that made her a household name, a wedding was involved.
When I heard them say they forgot Amy’s birthday, I was really hoping they would go the John Hughes way and I am glad they did! Now we just need a school dance with a pink dress and two guys fighting over Amy. Strangely enough with two teenage pregnancies on the show, not once have they made any references to For Keeps? Although I don’t Ringwald has any problems with that omission.
ABC Family’s The Secret Life of the American Teenager is back tonight at 8p and tonight’s episode is a little like Ferris Bueller’s Day Off. The episode starts off shortly after Anne has given birth and her daughter Amy and her have taken their sons to Mimsy’s. Back at school Ben, Ricky and Jack decide to play hooky and when Adrian and Grace find out they decide to follow them. When Ashley overhears them she decides to follow and before long all of our cast members decide to go too. When a kid overhears their plan he goes to the new school counselor played by Mayim Bialik. She has a past you will have to watch to find out, but her mission now is to get these kids back into school. She gets their parents together and everyone talks out what is wrong with their life and through that we get caught up on how everyone is doing. ABC Family gave birth to a great when they greenlight The Secret Life of The American Teenage so check it tonight and every Monday at 8p!
The first season of The Secret Life of the American Teenager ended with Amy giving birth to her baby and tonight at 8p on ABC Family we see how she is dealing with be a 15 year old mom. Also on the season premiere, someone will announce that they are pregnant, someone will lose their virginity and someone will die. And the person who dies will leave everyone crying including us.
If the second season is as good as the first season, I can’t wait to watch it all happen. You don’t have to be a teenager to enjoy this show, you have to like great television.
So tune into The Secret Life of the American Teenager on ABC Family at 8p and watch the new show about a gymnastics team Make It or Break It at 9p!
