Ever since Nickelodeon announced that they are working on a reboot for All That, we have wanted to know who is going to fill those big shows that were worn by the original seven.
Today, we got our answer and they remind me of the OGs. Lex Lumpkin reminds me of Kel Mitchell, Gabrielle Green is a mini-Alisa Reyes, Chinguun Sergelen has Kenan Thompson’s personality, Reece Caddell is vivacious like Lori Beth Denberg, Ryan Alessi is goofy like Josh Server and finally Kate Godfrey is so like Katrina Johnson.
Now that we know that they did a great job on the casting, it makes me more excited for its return on June 15th at 8:30p. What about you?
While it is nice to see Mitchell, Denberg and Server together again, what about Alisa Reyes too? She was my favorite of the lucky 7! Her and Kenan Thompson should do an episode together with the new kids on the block.
A few months ago, Nickelodeon announced that Brian Robbins is the new head of their network. Back in the ’90s, he created a little show for them called All That which was all that.
When I heard that news, I was hoping he would bring back the very funny sketch show and he is. This time around, one of the original cast members Kenan Thompson will be the man in charge. Not only that, they say original cast members will be part of it too. Hopefully, he will ask Kel Mitchell, Alisa Reyes, Lori Beth Denberg and Amanda Bynes to reunite with him. How all that would that be?
That is not the only new show that is coming to Nick, they have a whole bunch more. John Cena will host a new take Are You Smarter Than a Fifth Grader? They will also be looking for America’s Most Musical Family. Simon Fuller and OneRepublic’s Ryan Tedder are working on a music-based show that will feature original songs each week. If that is not enough, how about spinoffs from Spongebob Squarepants?
Nickelodeon is where it is and I am excited for everything the have coming up!

Back in the ’80s, Brian Robbins was an actor who starred in Head of the Class. Then in the mid-’90s, he went from in front of the camera to behind it with shows like All That, Keenan & Kel, The Amanda Show, Smallville, What I Like About You, One Tree Hill, Fred: The Show, AwesomenessTV and so many more.
In a way, you can say that his early shows helped to launch Nickelodeon. I guess Viacom noticed all he has done for them in almost 25 years, so they made him President of the network effective immediately.
Hopefully, he will do revivals of some of his classic shows with the original casts on his new network. Who wouldn’t like to see All That again? I like to see that gang together again.
Ever since Nickelodeon announced that they were bringing back Double Dare, you wondered if Marc Summers was going to be on the revival. The good news is that he is part of it, the bad news is they got some Raven Simone clone (Liza Koshy) to host it.
What is our favorite game show host from our youth going to be doing then? He is going to be giving color commentary. If anyone knows the ins and outs of the game show, it is him! I just wish he had a bigger role on the show. It would have been a win/win for everyone. The kids will fall in love with him since their parents already have. Imagine how many of the older humans are going to tell him they watched him when they were their kids’ ages. Now, I get it, that would make someone feel as ancient as the pyramids of Egypt.
I know it is not Family Double Dare, but you know their rents will be there rooting them on.
Mark your calendars for June 25th because that is when the slime comes raining down again!

Nickelodeon is in early talks with Melissa Joan Hart and series creator Mitchell Kriegman to bring back Clarissa Explains It All according to The Hollywood Reporter. This time around the teenager is now a mom. No word if she would be the one explaining things to us or if her kids will. We also don’t know if Jason Zimbler, who played her TV brother, will be back. If he is not is there any reason to do the show? He was the real star.
Personally, out of all of the shows that Nick could bring back, this would not be in my top 10. I think this need to bring All That back with the original cast and a few of the later members. That is what I really want. Plus, Hart has become very polarizing since Sabrina the Teenage Witch ended and it has nothing to do with her politics even though I have read reports she thinks it is why we do not like her. I will never forget the rumors that she was upset she lost a People magazine cover to Farah Fawcett, who lost her battle to cancer. All MJH did was lose the battle of the bulge.
What do you think about Clarissa coming back? Which Nick show from the ’90s do you want to see them revive?
