Veronica Mars’ future in question
March 15th, 2007 under The CW. [ Comments: none ]

So Watch with Kristin has an update on the future of Veronica Mars and it is not looking that bright. I personally never got why this show is such a cult hit, but there are several people who will be devastated with the rumors coming out of The CW today about the show's status. Kristin is saying that The CW is considering either dumping the whole cast (except for Kristin Bell) and moving the show 4 years into the future with her having a job at the FBI or just dumping the show completely. Considering that Mars' rating are declining every week and The Search for a Pussycat Doll is doing so much better in that time slot, I think the fans need to mentally prepare themselves for the end of the show.
But as someone who went to the Save Everwood Ferris Wheel get together, I know their pain. So if you want to try to save the show send a letter to:
Dawn Ostroff
President of Entertainment, The CW Television Network
4000 Warner Boulevard, Bldg 168
Burbank, CA 91522-0002
Los Angeles, CA 90025-6602
And when you send the letter if you can add one line for them to keep One Tree Hill and Supernatural too.

February 19th, 2007 under The CW. [ Comments: none ]

The CW has given a big thumbs-up to "Everybody Hates Chris," picking up the Chris Rock-produced show for a third season. CW Entertainment prexy Dawn Ostroff will announce the renewal Friday at the net’s portion of the TV Critics Assn. winter press tour. Order is for a full season of at least 22 episodes. Ostroff said "Chris" has "consistently proven itself to be one of the best comedies on television," crediting Rock and showrunner Ali LeRoi. "This is a show we want viewers to associate with the CW," she said. After a rocky start this season on Sundays, "Chris" has stabilized in its current Monday slot and has fit in well with the weblet’s other laffers on the night.

One Tree Hill and The OC coming to SOAPnet!
February 19th, 2007 under Fox, The CW. [ Comments: none ]

Disney’s SOAPnet and Warner Bros. Domestic Cable Distribution have struck an off-network deal for the cable network to acquire four seasons of Fox’s cancelled The O.C. and The CW’s One Tree Hill. SOAPnet, seeking to acquire primetime fare that is compatible with its lineup of daytime soaps, has grabbed other Warner Bros. off-net properties in the past, including the short-lived Pasadena and the classic serialized drama, Dallas. The O.C., airing at 6 p.m., and One Tree Hill, at 5 p.m., will debut as a Monday-Friday strip on the cable network beginning April 9.

Wonder Woman meets Smallville
February 19th, 2007 under Lynda Carter, The CW. [ Comments: none ]

Wonder Woman is coming to Smallville! Well, sorta. Lynda Carter, who played the DC Comics superheroine in the campy 1970s TV series, will appear in the April 12 episode of Smallville as Moira Sullivan, mother of intrepid Daily Planet reporter Chloe Sullivan (Allison Mack). The show placed Moira in a mental institution earlier this season, but all a network rep will spill about Moira’s current status is that ”her whereabouts play a huge part in the episode.” The rep will confirm, however, that Carter is set to appear in only a single episode.

Entertainment Week

That is so cool! It is nice to see the show get another comic book actor on the show that is not from Superman! I hope they do more of these!!!
