Scott Porter phone home! |

Remember that infamous scene in E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial when they hid ET among all the stuffed animals. Well, that is what I thought of when I saw this photo that Scott Porter Instagrammed. So why is he surrounded by all of them? As he explained, “When you live with someone addicted to plushies…you wake up like this.” I hope his wife does that more often because just when I thought the Hart of Dixie couldn’t be any cuter, I see a picture of him like this and he’s even cuter.
So tune in to see him tonight on The CW show at 8p without all those stuffed friends.

CW Seed spies a Veronica Mars spinoff! |

Today was The CW TCA Winter Press Day and the big news from the network’s President Mark Pedowitz is that there is going to be a Veronica Mars digital spinoff coming to CW Seed. Not much more is known because he just started talking to the show’s creator, Rob Thomas, a week ago and finalized the deal last night. In fact he couldn’t even tell us who the spinoff is going to revolve around. Well shortly after the session Thomas Tweeted, “The CW web series: a comedy featuring @HiRyanHansen attempting to put together a Dick Casablancas spin-off of #VeronicaMars. No date yet.” So we will just have to wait for it. If we can almost 7 years for the movie, we can wait a few months for the online series. Right?

Ian Somerhalder wishes us a bloody Merry Christmas! |

One of the advantages of playing a blood thirsty vampire on The CW show The Vampire Diaries, is you get to make a Season’s Greetings card like Ian Somerhalder that totally doesn’t suck.
So what is his message for this Christmas, it is “Season’s Greetings from Damon The Red-Nosed Reindeer Ripper…” So if Santa’s sleigh is shining so bright this year, you will know why. Blame the baddest Vampire on television today.

The CW banishes Hart of Dixie to Fridays |

The CW announced their midseason schedule today and I am not OK with it. The biggest change is that Hart of Dixie is moving from Mondays at 8p to Fridays at 9p after Whose Line Is It Anyways? (Whose Line is back on the 14th of March) starting on March 21st. Sadly The Carrie Diaries was only given a 13 episode order, so it will be ending its second season run by then. Which is a shame because it is the most darling show on The CW’s air.
Hart of Dixie will be replaced by Star-Crossed, the intriguing alien/human Romeo and Juliet story on February 17th. Then on March 10th we say goodbye to Beauty and the Beast, and it looks like it will be a final goodbye for the ratings challenged show. The Tomorrow People moves to Mondays at 9p on March 17th for what I am assuming is a way to see if that show can survive without a brotherly lead-in.
Starting on March 19th, Arrow, will shoot over to The 100, a show where juvenile delinquents in the future are sent to Earth to see if it is inhabitable again. Do I think that is a good fit with The CW’s top show? I do not because they are so different. Personally, I think that The 100 and Star-Crossed should be paired together. But then again I still think that The Vampire Diaries and The Originals should be on the same night, as should Reign and Hart of Dixie.
While I am unhappy about Hart of Dixie’s move to Fridays, I am looking forward to Star-Crossed, which I thought was the network’s strongest pilot along with Reign. I wanted to like The Tomorrow People, but I just could never get into it. And if people don’t follow it to Mondays or online, it might not be back for a season 2.
What do you think of The CW’s midseason lineup?

All the new shows on The CW get to Reign for a full season! |

The CW picked up all of their new shows today for a full season. So that means that Reign, Tomorrow People and The Originals will all be around until May. Now what that means for the midseason shows Star-Crossed and The 100, we don’t know yet. I am assuming that one of them will replace Nikita when it ends it run on the network, but where the other one will go I don’t know. I am assuming that either Beauty and the Beast or The Carrie Diaries will have their episode order cut to make room for one of them. Personally, I am hoping they leave the Sex and the City prequel alone because I love that show even more this season. I wish it was on Mondays after Hart of Dixie because it is a much better fit. Actuallymy dream lineup would pair up The Carrie Diaries and Reign because they great shows about timeless love!
