The CW is all reboots like Dynasty and Roswell: New Mexico, DC Universe shows like Supergirl and Flash, Archie Comics shows like Riverdale and spinoffs like Legacies and Katy Keene, and All American. Next season, they are adding two more shows that fit in their genre. A reboot of Walker, Texas Ranger with Jared Padalecki, and the DC Universe spinoff Superman & Lois with Tyler Hoechlin and Elizabeth Tulloch. Whatever happened to doing something original? I guess it works for them, but still I miss when they did original shows like Supernatural and Crazy Ex Girlfriend.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iYRktGgWfJ4 The CW announced today that they picked up all of their scripted shows, that are not ending or have premiered yet, for another season. Those shows are All American, Batwoman, Black Lightning, Charmed, DC’s Legends of Tomorrow, Dynasty, The Flash, In The Dark, Legacies, Nancy Drew, Riverdale, Roswell, New Mexico” and Supergirl. The only show not on that list is Katy Keene. Even though the Riverdale spinoff does not debut until February 6th, the network asked for another 13 episodes.
Thirteen seems to be lucky their number today because they renewed 13 shows for next season and gave 13 more episodes to KK. I have a feeling it will be back for another season.
What is missing? Supernatural for the first time since the network launched in 2006. As is The Flash and The 100. All three shows are ending this season. Therefore, they only have a few slots for new shows in the fall. Wonder if it will be a DC Universe show or another Archie’s Comics spinoff or maybe something original like Legacies. Oh wait, that was a spinoff from The Vampire Diaries. At least Dynasty is back, and that is all I care about!

Supernatural has been on TV for 15 seasons and it has aired every night of the week on The CW except for Sunday. Therefore, it makes sense that for its final episode, it will air on a different night than the one it started it on in the fall. It will conclude its run on Monday nights. The Riverdale spinoff Kathy Keene will take over Supernatural’s slot on February 6th. Roswell is back on February 16th with Supernatural as its lead-in.
DC’s Legends of Tomorrow will return on January 21st, then it will take a week off so that Arrow can say goodbye with a 2-hour episode.

8:00-9:00pm ARROW (Original Episode)
9:00-10:00pm DC’S LEGENDS OF TOMORROW (Season Premiere)
Earlier this week, CBS ordered more episodes from all of their new shows. Today The CW did the same thing with its two new shows Nancy Drew and Batwoman. Both shows will be around for 22 episodes.
That means ABC is the only one who has not revealed the fate of any of their news shows. The only other new show waiting to find out how long it will be on the air is NBC’s Perfect Harmony. Hopefully, it will join Bob ♥ Abishola, All Rise, The Unicorn, Carol’s Second Act, Evil, Prodigal Son and not like these two shows that were picked up and not like Almost Human, Bluff City Law and Sunnyside that were not.

Last season when Dynasty left off, they left us with several cliffhangers. Crystal and Blake (Grant Show) got married. As they were saying their I do’s, Fallon (Elizabeth Gillies) interrupted their ceremony and told them she sold her publishing company to Kirby (Maddison Brown) for a $1. Kirby, in turn, was going to sell it back to her. However, Kirby said she was not going to sell it back. Then her father, Anders (Alan Dale) told Blake he was quitting to work with Sammy Jo (Rafael de la Fuente) at the hotel he just bought.
Wait, there is more. Adam (Sam Underwood) decided to do something nice for his sister and sent divers into the lake to find her engagement ring from Liam (Adam Hube) that she dropped in there. Instead, they found two bodies including Fallon’s teenage friend who she might have killed when they were 16. Is there a third body in the Carrington water since Adam drugged Liam who fell into the pool?
There is one more dead person, who is not really dead and that is Jeff (Sam Adegoke). His mother, Dominique Deveraux (Michael Michele), and his sister, Monica (Wakeema Hollis) sent him to a secret location so that they can frame Adam for his murder.
That was just the last five minutes of the episode. Tonight at 9p on Thw CW, the episode takes part shortly afterward and the press is covering the crazy Carringtons. That and we get our third Cristal (Daniella Alonso). Hopefully, she will last a whole season like the other 2 because this is getting confusing.
When it comes to what else happens tonight, I am not going to tell you. There are so many surprises, you are going to have to watch it a few times to remember them all. I am on my third viewing and I saw two things I missed. Therefore, you don’t want to miss this episode because it is so so so good. This what nighttime soaps are all about!
It has gotten so much better since the first season, it is one of my favorite shows on television now. If you need something enjoyable to watch, this is the show for you. It is mindless fun and we need that on Fridays!
