Watch this squirrel run the bases at a baseball game
June 2nd, 2022 under Sports figures. [ Comments: none ]

On Saturday, the Columbus Clippers played the Buffalo Bisons, and the game was typical until the 5th inning. However, that is when things got nutty. A squirrel made his way onto the field and avoided getting caught by everyone that tried to catch him. It seems weird that they couldn’t capture him because baseball players are used to catching balls that are faster than the rodent. But I guess it is different when the moving ball is on the ground and can move in different directions?

Anyways, eventually, the squirrel was caught, and according to The Columbia Dispatch, he was set free outside of the stadium.

But I am sure he wanted back in because he keeps hearing people singing about all the peanuts and cracker jacks they have inside.

Is this the greatest foul ball in baseball history?
April 12th, 2022 under Sports figures. [ Comments: none ]

A man was super excited to have seats behind home plate at the Northwest Arkansas Naturals vs Springfield Cardinals game on Saturday. He probably thought I have the best seats in the house, and he did.

To celebrate, he bought a beer and left it on the wall in front of him. Nothing can happen to that beer? Or so he thought. According to TMZ, National pitcher Anthony Veneziano threw a ball at Cardinals’ second baseman Chandler Redmond, and he swung and hit the ball. However, it went the wrong way, hit the field, bounced up, and hit the fan’s beer. That caused the can to explode all over the guy.

Was the fan upset? Nope, he laughed it off and took a bow.

We have heard hit by pitch, but this is the first time I ever saw someone hit by a beer!

Hopefully, the team bought a fan another beer because they ain’t cheap! Then again, that memory is priceless.

Tom Brady comes out of retirement
March 13th, 2022 under Sports figures. [ Comments: none ]

Shortly after Tampa Bay Buccaneers lost out on playing in this years’ Super Bowl, Tom Brady announced that he was retiring from football.

That was then. Today, he announced that he is coming out of retirement and playing with the Bucs next season.

These past two months I have realized my place is still on the field and not in the stands. That time will come. But it’s not now.

I love my teammates, and I love my supportive family. Without them, none of this is possible.

I’m coming back for my 23rd season in Tampa. We have unfinished business.

I know people love him, but I can’t stand him. This the perferct example of why I can’t.

LA Rams’ Taylor Rapp proposed to his girlfriend after his Super Bowl win
February 14th, 2022 under Marriage Proposals, Sports figures. [ Comments: none ]

Hey Taylor Rapp, you just won the Super Bowl; what are you going to do? He is going to get down on one knee and propose to his longtime girlfriend, Dani Johnson. Thankfully, for the Safety, she said yes.

Could you imagine if she said no with millions and millions of people watching? Then, again, would he still have proposed if the LA Rams lost the big game? Then what if he did ask her to marry him after the loss, and she said no? I am alone on Valentine’s, so that thought made me very happy!

Seriously, congrats to the two. I hear LA is going to throw a parade to celebrate your engagement. Yeah. That’s it. That’s the ticket.

Tom Brady announces his retirement
February 1st, 2022 under Sports figures. [ Comments: none ]

Tom Brady shared some big news this news. After 22 years, 10 Super Bowls with 7 wins, his career as a professional football player is over.

I have always believed the sport of football is an “all-in” proposition – if a 100% competitive commitment isn’t there, you won’t succeed, and success is what I love so much about our game. There is a physical, mental, and emotional challenge EVERY single day that has allowed me to maximize my highest potential. And I have tried my very best these past 22 years. There are no shortcuts to success on the field or in life.

This is difficult for me to write, but here it goes: I am not going to make that competitive commitment anymore. I have loved my NFL career, and now it is time to focus my time and energy on other things that require my attention.

I’ve done a lot of reflecting the past week and have asked myself difficult questions. And I am so proud of what we have achieved. My teammates, coaches, fellow competitors, and fans deserve 100% of me, but right now, it’s best I leave the field of play to the next generation of dedicated and committed athletes.

To my Bucs teammates the past two years, I love you guys, and I have loved going to battle with you. You have dug so deep to challenge yourself, and it inspired me to wake up every day and give you my best. I am always here for you guys and want to see you continue to push yourselves to be your best. I couldn’t be happier with what we accomplished together.

The future is exciting. I’m fortunate to have cofounded incredible companies like @autograph.io @bradybrand, @tb12sports that I am excited to continue to help build and grow, but exactly what my days will look like will be a work-in-progress. As I said earlier, I am going to take it day by day. I know for sure I want to spend a lot of time giving to others and trying to enrich other people’s lives, just as so many have done for me.
With much love, appreciation, and gratitude,
Tom

I know there are plenty of sad people today, but I say good riddance. He didn’t make it to the Super Bowl, so he retired. Not only that, he made the announcement before the big game. That means his retirement will overshadow the game and the teams.

Plus, I always thought of him as a pompous jerk who only cares about money. The three businesses he wrote about are all for profit. How much more money do he and Gisele Bündchen need? Why don’t they start a nonprofit and do some good with all of their millions? The same way other GOATS like LeBron James, Magic Johnson, Peyton Manning, and Drew Brees have done.
