Bob Odenkirk collapsed while filming Better Call Saul yesterday, and no one would say what happened. Today, we got an update.
“We can confirm Bob is in stable condition after experiencing a heart-related incident,” reps for the actor said in a statement to The Hollywood Reporter. “He and his family would like to express gratitude for the incredible doctors and nurses looking after him, as well as his cast, crew and producers who have stayed by his side. The Odenkirks would also like to thank everyone for the outpouring of well wishes and ask for their privacy at this time as Bob works on his recovery.”
However, his son, Nate Odenkirk, also gave a brief but important update, “He’s going to be okay.”
When it comes to production of the show, THR says they were halfway through filming the sixth and final season of the show. When he is ready to go back to work, they will restart production.
But that is neither here nor there, right now. He just needs to focus on getting better. Get well soon!
Actor James Michael Tyler (@slate_michael) played Gunther on “Friends” for 10 years, but he was unable to attend the recent cast reunion in person because he’s been battling a serious health issue. Now he’s sharing his news for the first time with @craigmelvin. pic.twitter.com/272tg4Sbvc
Everyone has been talking about the Friends reunion for the last few weeks. However, there is someone else from the show we should have been talking about.
James Michael Tyler sat down with Today today, and he shared with them that he has stage 4 prostate cancer. The actor, who played Gunther on the sitcom was diagnosed in 2018.
Since then, it has spread to his bones. Over the last year, it caused several bones in his back to break. Due to the broken bones, he is no longer able to walk.
In fact, Tyler revealed he is terminal. Something that didn’t need to be the case had his doctors been taking his PSA count when they drew blood and had he gone to the doctor sooner for a check-up.
He is coming forward with his story now because he is hoping that talking about it, it can save at least one man’s life.
My father was diagnosed with prostate cancer via a PSA test. After several rounds of radiation, he was cured. Prostate cancer is one of the most curable cancers if it is caught early.
So men, go to your doctors and ask them to test your PSA number with your blood. It can save your life. Us, women, deal with your little pricks; you can deal with this one every six months.
Legendary Country singer B.J. Thomas, 78, announced today that he is battling stage 4 lung cancer.
“I just wanted to take this unique opportunity to share my gratitude to Gloria, my wonderful wife and my rock for over 53 years, my family, friends, and fans. I’m so blessed to have had the opportunity to record and perform beautiful songs in pop, country, and gospel music, and to share those wonderful songs and memories around the world with millions of you. I ask all of you for your prayers during this time and that my music can live on with you.”
Thomas remains optimistic that he will beat it as he seeks treatment in Texas. Therefore, let’s say a prayer for the man that gave us songs like Raindrops Keep Fallin’ On My Head, Hooked On A Feeling, I’m So Lonesome I Could Cry, I Just Can’t Help Believing, (Hey Won’t You Play) Another Somebody Done Somebody Wrong Song, Don’t Worry Baby, Whatever Happened To Old Fashioned Love New Looks From An Old Lover, and the Growing Pains’ theme As Long As We Have Each Other.
