Grey’s Anatomy spin-off sends the cast into a tail spin? |

More troubles on the set of “Grey’s Anatomy.” A spinoff of the popular series is in the works that will feature actress Kate Walsh’s character, Dr. Addison Montgomery, and some other cast members reportedly are feeling blindsided and short-changed. “The rest of the cast seemed instantly resentful of [Walsh],” a source told Star. “They each thought they’d be the one chosen to get their own show, and now they’re giving Kate the cold shoulder.” The source adds that “Grey’s” star Ellen Pompeo “seemed particularly peeved because she felt that, as the star, she should have been consulted.” The upset comes just as the storm over a furor over cast member Isaiah Washington’s gay slurs began to subside. Laments the source: “Things had finally settled down and now everyone’s disgruntled again.”

People is reporting that contract negotiations are not going well between Katherine Heigl and Grey's Anatomy. She is upset that she is not making the same as other cast members according to a source, "Katie is disappointed and hurt that (producer) Touchstone doesn't value her as much as her other costars, especially Sandra Oh and Isaiah Washington." I can't say I blame her because this is an ensemble cast and she is a big part of that ensemble. Plus after everything that went down with Isaiah Washington, he should get a pay cut. Hopefully things will work out between Touchstone her, which I think they will, because I would miss her.

Watch with Kristin says there will be a death on tonight's episode of Grey's Anatomy, but of course did not say who. Is it Meredith? She can not say, but considering the title of tonight's episode is Some Kind of Miracle…we can assume she lives. Don't you think. Kristin also said that the original episode called for no deaths, but then ABC told Shondra Rhimes that someone had to die. Things that make you go, are we going to be saying good-bye to Isaiah Washington? But then others are thinking it is going to be Meredith's mother. Either way I can't wait and have the tissues ready!

Taye Diggs will star opposite Kate Walsh in ABC's potential spinoff from hit medical drama "Grey's Anatomy." The show will test the waters as a back-door pilot, an expanded two-hour episode of "Grey's" slated to air in May. It will center on neonatal surgeon Addison Shepherd (Walsh), a character who has enjoyed a strong following from fans since she was introduced at the end of the hot surgical drama's first season. It is understood that the back-door pilot episode will feature Shepherd on the verge of leaving Seattle Grace, a scenario that will be triggered if ABC goes with the spinoff for next season. There were no details on the character Diggs will play. "Grey's" creator/executive producer Shonda Rhimes is writing the episode and is expected to shepherd the potential series.

This show is so going to get picked up for next year. ABC has a lot holes to fill and this show would definitely do better than a second season of Men in Tress or Brothers and Sisters.

According to Reuters, The Wall Street Journal (out of all places) is reporting that ABC is considering a New York spin-off of Grey's Anatomy with Kate Walsh's character Dr. Dr. Addison Montgomery-Shepherd. No one from ABC has commented either way. You know I think if she brings Eric Dane, Dr McSteamy with her it might work!
