Shaquille O’Neal is going to be on this Thursday’s Lip Sync Battle and he is going to do his thing to Michael Sembello’s Maniac from Flashdance on the Spike TV competition show.
While the legendary dance scene from the 1983 movie has be recreated so many times in so many different ways, it has never been done like this before and hopefully never again. I am just hoping it doesn’t end with the Basketball player lying backwards on a chair and pulling on a chain that rains down gallons of water all over his body. That is one image I can live without seeing.
Now that we have seen this, I wonder what Jennifer Beals thinks of him recreating her defining moment from the beloved classic. A film that taught me how to take of my bra while wearing a bra.
We have all done the Chicken Dance, the Electric Slide, the Hustle, the Time Warp, the Macarena, the Whip/Nae Nae and soon we will be doing the Gorilla Dab. The what? We know that Shaquille O’Neal has some really smooth moves on the basketball court and now we get to see that he also has them on the dance floor. Shaq has created a new dance craze to Feenix’s Bipolar’s Gorilla Dab and he is challenging you to add to it.
So give it your best try because come the next wedding or Bar Mitzvah you attend, you will be doing it with all the other dancers.
You know the Toys “R” Us theme song when it says, “I don’t wanna grow up, cause maybe if I did,
I couldn’t be a Toys ‘R’ Us kid.” Well, looks like that is the case for Shaquille O’Neal. The 7’1″ former basketball player went into the toy store and bumped the top of his head into a display that was standing by the entrance. So maybe because he grew up to be too tall, he can’t enjoy it there anymore.
Nah, you are never too old or too tall to be a Toys “R” Us a kid! At least that is what Shaq and I tell ourselves every time we go there.
Yesterday on The Tonight Show, Jimmy Fallon brought back my favorite segment and that is the game Phone Booth. Basically, Shaq and Hugh Jackman go into the archaic structure where people used to make phone calls when they were away from home and answer questions. For every answer they got wrong, another person would enter the confined space with them. For every answer they got right, a person would go in their opponent’s private space.
As you can guess, as soon as Shaq got into his standing box, there was barely any room left. To make matters worse, Wolverine got the first answer right. That means that the NBA giant got a visitor in his booth, and that guest was Alex Trebek. As soon as the NBC late night host shut the door, things got physical between the two men as the Jeopardy host put his life in that position as he felt up O’Neal.
Then as the game went on Shaq’s area filled up and Jackman’s didn’t. Which sucks for Shaq, and it o awesome for us because how can you not laugh at their suffering.
Seriously, I love Phone Booth so much, I hope a network picks it up as a game show. I know I would watch every episode because I love to watch people suffer. Since phone booths are made of glass, they can’t hide their reaction. Well, unless they are one of the shorter people who gets stuck between someone’s legs. That happened when Kevin Spacey played the game. See isn’t this game the best?

We have seen actors, politicians and musicians fall, but the funniest one of them all is Shaq. I think it is because he has so far to go before he hits the floor.
Yesterday, during TNT’s Halftime Report, something got caught around his ankle and down he went as he was going after Kenny Smith. You would think he would’ve learned his lesson after Christmas and he went head first into a tree to not go after his colleague, but thankfully he didn’t.
As much as we enjoy it, Shaquille O’Neal enjoys it ever more. So much so he is giving away $500 cash to the person who comes up with the best meme for it at #ShaqtinAFall. There are already some good ones up there, so get lost in the challenger.
