Sarah Jessica Parker’s feet are too good for cheap shoes
March 9th, 2013 under Sex and the City. [ Comments: 1 ]

Sarah Jessica Parker sat down with Net-A-Porter magazine and told them her feet are snobs thanks to years of being on Sex and the City.

“For ten or so years, I literally ran in heels. I worked 18-hour days and never took them off. I wore beautiful shoes, some better made than others, and never complained. But then I did I Don’t Know How She Does It, and I was very thoughtful about my whole wardrobe and said, you know, [Kate Reddy] could not afford really good footwear. So I got [lower priced] shoes and the bottoms weren’t leather, they were plastic, so I slipped a couple times, twisted my ankle. I went to a foot doctor and he said, ‘Your foot does things it shouldn’t be able to do. That bone there… You’ve created that bone. It doesn’t belong there.’ The moral of the story is, the chickens are coming home to roost. It’s sad, because my feet took me all over the world, but eventually they were like, ‘You know what, we are really tired, can you just stop – and don’t put cheap shoes on us?'”

I don’t know who needs to get over themselves more, her or her feet? I am saying she does because she also told the magazine that it’s “odd” to see AnnaSophia Robb play Carrie Bradshaw in The Carrie Diaries. She probably feels that way because the much younger actress is so much more likable than she is.

Dear Diary, Don’t miss The Carrie Diaries tonight!
March 4th, 2013 under Sex and the City. [ Comments: 1 ]

Just when Carrie Bradshaw’s (AnnaSophia Robb) dreams start to come true, they will all quickly turn into a nightmare on tonight’s The Carrie Diaries at 8p on The CW!
Carrie starts her internship at Interview with Larissa (Freema Agyeman) and she is so in her element. She immediately fits in, so much so she is invited to go with her co-workers to Limelight, the hottest spot in Manhattan, on Friday night after work. That is the same night as the juniors and seniors will take part in a lock-in at her school. So she has the perfect excuse for her dad on why she will be out all night.
Since both girls are out of the house for the night, her dad (Matt Letscher) is going to go on a double date in Manhattan. The night will go so well for him that after dinner the four will go to Limelight. Yeah you know what is going to happen once he gets there…
Then there is life in Connecticut. There will be at least one more break up before the night is over and at least one new hook up. Think you can guess who? You can’t because no one will see it coming and it will definitely change things up.
Then there is Sebastian (Austin Butler), Mouse (Ellen Wong) and him are going to go to Limelight to find Carrie. Will they get there before her dad or will they make things even more awkward for our blooming flower?
So much is going to happen in this game changing episode, that you don’t want to miss a single second of this endearing show that gets better with each episode.
In fact I think this show is so much better than the series it is based on. And on that note, Carrie has her first Cosmopolitan tonight! Another Carrie Bradshaw first revealed tonight!

Tonight’s The Carrie Diaries is something to dance about!
February 25th, 2013 under Sex and the City. [ Comments: none ]

It is time for Carrie Bradshaw (AnnaSophia Robb) to dance on The CW’s The Carrie Diaries at 9p and you don’t want to miss a single song.
It’s that time of the year for the school dance and Carrie decides to ask George to be her date after Donna (Chloe Bridges) says something to her about Sebastian (Austin Butler). How will the hot new guy at her school react when he sees his ex with a new man? Also is this the night that Carrie will lose her virginity? On that note Mouse (Ellen Wong) is ready to go with Seth, but a bad grade puts their plans on hold. Maggie (Katie Findlay) is going stag because Walt (Brendan Dooling) has the chicken pox. Donna see her nemesis Maggie do something she shouldn’t be doing and will use it against her.
Even though a dance is supposed to be all about the fun, by the end of the night at least one of these couple will never go to another dance again. Think you know which couple that is? You won’t so you will have tune in for an episode that reminds just what it was like to go to your school dances when you were in high school!
Seriously please start watching this totally tubular show so that it can be back for another season. The Carrie Diaries is everything a show like this is supposed to be. It’s real, it’s relatable, and most of important it’s enjoyable! This show needs a following more than its competition!

The Carrie Diaries will drive its way into your heart tonight!
February 11th, 2013 under Sex and the City. [ Comments: none ]

The Carrie Diaries is the sweetest and realist show on television and tonight’s episode is so good you will fall in love it with just like you did with your first crush in high school!
Carrie is taking her driving test, but that isn’t the only test of her freedom she will experience tonight. She meets a new man and his name is George. She actually met him before because he is her dad’s best friend’s son. He invites her to his mother soiree in the city and of course she accepts his offer. Now she will need to find the perfect dress for the night, but misinformation from George will make her have to change that dress in a way only she can. If she was worried about her dress fitting in that is nothing as compared to her trying to fit in with Manhattan’s elite. Can our little Carrie break through the ice princesses or will she do one of her epic runs through the city?
But it isn’t only about her, her friends back home will also be going through a lot. Mouse’s boyfriend is coming home for a visit and she is afraid that she won’t be able to please him. So she will get a quick course on sex from a buddy and don’t tell me you didn’t do that with at least one of your friends? Then there is Maggie who will do anything to keep the diner from being taken over by Donna and her gang. Can Sebastian save the day or has he changed to be like his new girlfriend?
And then there is Carrie’s dad and he is going through the biggest change of them all!
Tonight’s episode of The Carrie Diaries will have you laughing and crying and then laughing some more. In fact I saw this episode with a bunch of other reporters on Friday and I had to fight back the tears because I didn’t want them to see me cry. Carrie has a scene about 3/4 of the way through that anyone who lost a parent can relate to. Then there will be a resolve that is so endearing you will cry because of it. I know crying doesn’t always make you want to tune in, but it is not sad tears that will be flowing down your face. Plus you will find yourself smiling more than anything else with this episode that will remind you how much fun our teen years used to be!
So whether you have been watching The Carrie Diaries since day one or tonight will be your first episode, you will want to make sure to watch because this a show we need to come back season after season after season!

BTWF roles: Kim Cattrall in Quincy, ME
December 24th, 2012 under Before They Were Famous, Kim Cattrall, Sex and the City. [ Comments: none ]

Before Kim Cattrall was the strong one in the relationship in Sex and the City, she was married to an abusive man on Quincy, ME. She looks the same now as she did when she was 20 in that 1997 episode.
