Easter Sunday started off normal enough for Seth Meyers and his very pregnant wife. Then, Alexi started having back pains two weeks before she was due to have their first child. When the pain didn’t stop, he called the doctors who told them to go to the hospital. Taking their advice, they packed, called Uber and went on their way.
Tariq the Uber driver drove them as Alexi screamed at the top of her lungs all the way to Lenox Hill Hosptal. Tariq kept him calm throughout it all and got them their safely.
When doctors checked Alexi, they realized she was fully dilated. It was time for her to have the baby. Since it was Easter, several of the nurses and doctors were wearing bunny ears. Meyers thought it was cute and his wife couldn’t give a dang. She was preoccupied with giving birth to that child.
Eventually, Ashe Olsen made his debut into the world and they couldn’t be happier. But the NBC Late Night host wasn’t ready to be a dad. When he was filling out the baby’s paperwork and they asked for the father, he didn’t realize that they were talking about him.
Now he knows he is a father; and by the smile on his face, you can tell love he has been loving the last few days of his life most of all.
With this very sweet and touching tale, Meyers solidified his place in late night television. If you are not watching, then you are missing out on someone that has grown to be one of the best hosts of late night. And he’s only been doing it for less than two years!
Olivia Wilde was on Late Night yesterday and Seth Meyers asked her about her nude scene on Vinyl. She told him she felt good about it because she got to wear a Merkin on the show. What is a Merkin? She explained, “The Merkin is a pubic wig and it’s great. It makes you feel a little less naked.” Then she added, “The reason for it, because in the ’70s people let it all grow out.” In other words, she had to let down there, go like her last name to represent the era.
Then she revealed that they have a Merkin Wall for the actresses to chose how they want their crotches to look on the show. That’s right, they get to Build a Bush. One she was happy to prounce around the set, showing it off to all and making sure that everyone knew it was fake. She didn’t want anyone to think otherwise.

Garry Shandling suddenly passed away yesterday and the late night television hosts remember him because he changed that format with his fake TV show The Larry Sanders Show. Conan O’Brien has been doing it the longest now and he remembered his friend on his TBS show last night. Instead of doing a monologue, he shared a story about how Shandling was there for him during a time of need. When Conan’s Tonight Show was cancelled, his wife convinced him to go to Hawaii to get away from it all. As soon as they got there, he got a call and it was from Shandling. The comedian told him there was no way to avoid to him and he spent the rest of the trip with his friend forever. It is a beautiful story that tells you more about than man than just his rich television history.
One that influenced Seth Meyers so much, he had to talk about it at the start of Late Night yesterday. The NBC late night show host said that Johnny Carson, David Letterman and Conan O’Brien, made him want to do a late night show, but Larry Sanders made him not want to do one. Of course he was joking, but you can see how influential he was.

Yesterday, on Late Night with Seth Meyers, Keri Russell, John Stamos, Henry Cavill and John Goodman all told their younger selves not to do something that would forever change their lives.
Felicity was up first and she told herself not to chop off her hair because the fans, like me, would turn against her. She hasn’t forgiven them for all the hate mail, just like I haven’t forgiven her for doing it. Have you?
Uncle Jesse surprises us with something he did when he was 18. Superman reveals something so shocking that he still can’t handle it today. Then there was Dan Conner and he can’t duck his past.
Now, can we talk about skinny John Goodman? I am still not used to it. He kind of looks like George Clooney, but hotter.
Alison Brie was on Late Night yesterday and Seth Meyers asked her about doing Community and Mad Men at the same time. Somehow she turned the conversation in to the type of undergarments they wore for the advertising drama.
Then she explained that it was not easy to go to the bathroom in them because she was not used to wearing all of that extra material that women used to wear back then.
One day, when she first started on the show, she had to use the little ladies room, but they needed her on the set. She didn’t want to cause trouble, and thought she could hold it in. She couldn’t, so she asked them if she could stop and use the rest room. She moved everything around, but not enough. As she started to go, she realized that it wasn’t going where it was supposed to go. Instead it went all over her underwear and girdle. Since she was needed on the set five minutes ago, she had to shoot the scene in those wet clothes.
During a break from filming, the wardrobe lady asked her if she was uncomfortable in that attire. Brie told her what happened and the lady told her happen more times than you would think.
You will never watch Mad Men the same because you will be wondering if this is when it happened to Christine Hendricks or January Jones.
