Back to the Future’s Michael J. Fox, Lea Thompson and Elisabeth Shue are reuniting for Scream 2010 to celebrate the 25th anniversary of their movie and Marty McFly shot a promo for awards show. Seeing him back in the DeLorean for the ad makes me think he could do just same for a fourth movie! I think we need a Back to the Future 4, don’t you? But until then we can enjoy them on October 19 at their mini-reunion on Spike TV’s Scream Awards!
How big is SCREAM 2009 that airs on Spike TV tonight at 10p? It’s s huge that the only awards shows that honors Horror and Sci Fi attracts Oscar caliber names, but unlike the Academy Awards there is a lot of cursing and everyone is genuinely having a great time! I mean what other show gives trophies to the Holy Sh!t Scene of the Year or Most Memorable Mutilation?
How big are the names? How about Johnny Depp, Harrison Ford, Morgan Freeman, Hugh Jackman, Jessica Alba, Quentin Tarantino, William Shatner, Megan Fox, Taylor Lautner, Eli Roth, Liv Tyler, Keith Richards, Tobey Maguire, Woody Harrelson, Anna Paquin, Johnny Depp and that is only a handful of the A-List names that were there. Yeah, I mentioned Johnny Depp twice, but that is because he appears on the show 2 times and that’s twice as nice!!!
Forgetting the names, this is the most enjoyable awards show in Hollywood. It is face paced and you never know what the heck is going to happen next. One of the first awards goes to Megan Fox and in her acceptance speech she says she can’t understand why there all these false reports about the movies she is in. (Like she really doesn’t understand why?) What a way to start the show and it only gets better from there! You got Justin Long comparing himself to Richard Greico. Johnny Depp presenting to his mentor Keith Richards and Quentin Tarantino to his George Romero. There are also sneak peeks to some of the biggest upcoming movies, shows and DVDs like New Moon, Shutter Island, V, Star Trek and Battlestar Galatica. The best part of the evening comes with the final two awards. When Star Trek wins The Ultimate Scream and William Shatner comes out to accept and as you can see it is one of the best acceptance speeches ever! But even The Shat couldn’t top Stan Lee’s entrance and speech when he was honored with the Comic-Con Award.
SCREAM 2009 is the must watch awards show so check it out tonight on Spike TV at 10p! You don’t have to be a Horror or Sci Fi fan to enjoy it, you just have to like to watch a good time where everyone is there just to have fun!
Dileep Rao came out to SCREAM 2009 because his movie Drag Me To Hell was up for several nominations and you will have to tune into Spike TV tomorrow night at 10p to see how many awards they won. Dileep was a big winner at SCREAM 2009 and I have a feeling he will be even a bigger winner at SCREAM 2010 with his next movie Avatar and he told me about the much anticipated James Cameron movie. He also told me he is blessed to go to work every day on Chris Nolan’s Inception which also stars Leonardo DiCaprio that he is filming now.
You might not have heard of him just yet, but I am sure by this time next year we are all going to know his name. So make sure to rent Drag Me To Hell, see him in Avatar on December 18th and most importantly watch on Spike TV’s SCREAM 2009 tomorrow night at 10p.
On Tuesday night on Spike TV at 10p Josh Hutcherson will be be presenting an award SCREAM 2009, but this weekend he is celebrating the release of his new movie Cirque du Freak: The Vampire’s Assistant. On the red carpet he told me about this movie and like so many of his love of Vampires. He also told me about the movie he is currently filming in Michigan, Red Dawn with Tom Cruise’s son Connor.
Josh Hutcherson might only be 17 years old, but you can tell he is going to be a huge star! So don’t forget to check him at his of many SCREAM awards this Tuesday on Spike TV at 10p!
Next Tuesday (October 27th) at SCREAM 2009 on Spike TV the cast of The Big Bang Theory will present the cast of Battlestar Galactia with a farewell tribute. While BSG may no longer be on the air, The Big Bang Theory still is very much on the airwaves and Kunal Nayyar, who plays Rajesh Koothrappali talked to me about the funnier than funny show on the red carpet.
Last week on TBBT Raj took a job working for, I mean with, Sheldon and their chemistry (no pun) was so perfect together I had to find out if their working relationship was going to continue on throughout the season. Looks like will be getting more of Eye of the Tiger moments because he told me they are still co-workers because he doesn’t want to get deported. Then Kunal told me something that makes me wonder if working with Sheldon is what will cause a rift in the bromance between Wolowitz and him for the next few episode. Hopefully it won’t last that long because I just love it when they try to pick up girls at bars. Talking about dating, I was wondering if the guy who needs to down a drink or a bottle to talk to girls, will actually get a girlfriend this season? He told me, he is really hoping to have one, and if you listen to the interview above you can hear who would like to play that special part. Wouldn’t it be cool if they could get her for the role, it is not like she has too much going on. After all she did have time to come to SCREAM 2009, and I am dying to know if he got to talk to her at the show.
Talking about Sci-Fi icons, Wil Wheaton guest stars on tonight’s The Big Bang Theory on CBS at 9:30p and Kunal told me what it was like to work with him. Everyone on the show seems so excited that he guest starred on the show, that just like Kunal I really hope he comes back for more!!!
On a Kunal note you so have to follow Kunal Nayyar on Twitter, his Tweets make me laugh just like he does on The Big Bang Theory! So check out this awwwdorable actor on CBS tonight and every Monday at 9:30p for a show that will leave you wanting to date a geek because they are just so darn cute and next Tuesday at 10p on Spike TV’s SCREAM 2009!!!
