Chucky goes to the White House, while SurrealEstate is selling haunted houses
October 4th, 2023 under Chucky, Syfy. [ Comments: none ]

The good news is that Chucky is going to the White House for season 3 starting tonight at 9p on Syfy and USA Network. The bad news is that he wasn’t there when Trump was president.

Chucky has a new friend to the end, and Henry (Callum Vinson) is the President’s son. So, now the killingiest doll in the World is living in the most powerful house. And you know what he is going to do while he is there? He is going to kill. And his first kill is pretty gruesome. But do you expect anything less from him?

Chucky goes by Joseph now, which is the same name as Henry’s brother, who just died. So Henry is inseparable from his new Buddy, and his parents don’t want to separate the two. Well, except when Joseph asks to hang out in the West Wing instead of going to school with Henry.

Henry’s family is oblivious to Joseph’s past, so they go along with everything Henry asks for. And they are going to regret that when people keep showing up dead to work. The White House is quickly becoming the Blood Red House.

The show isn’t only about Chucky. It is also about the three teens that he orphaned. Jake (Zackary Arthur), Devon (Björgvin Arnarson), and Lexy (Alyvia Alyn Lind) are living with a foster mother. When they are not posting on social media, they are looking for Chucky and Lexy’s little sister, Caroline (Carina London Battrick), who was taken by Tiffany, or was it, Jennifer Tilly. Either way, she is missing, and they want her back. But no one knows where she is.

Who will they find first, Chucky or Caroline? Well, considering Chucky is at the White House, I think we know who is easier to find. So how will they infiltrate the White House that has the best security?

We will have to tune in to find out, and we will find out in the next few weeks. But I have said too much.

I can also tell you that this season is so much fun because you can’t top the White House. At least, I don’t think you can.

Then, at 10p, SurrealEstate is back on Syfy after what seems like forever.

Every house has a story. However, not every story ends in a house when the chapter is done. And that is why Roman Agency specializes in selling those houses. They help close the book on the scary tale that is preventing people from buying that house.

That’s right, they get rid of the scary entities that just won’t leave the house. And it was a lot easier last season when Luke Roman (Tim Rozon) was able to talk to the spirits. However, after a disastrous sale, he lost that ability. And he hasn’t shown up for work since that fateful night.

Susan (Sarah Levy) has taken over the reins because someone had to. Even though she is the agency’s newest agent, she has already mastered sales and exorcising the demons out of the house.

She is not doing it alone. August (Maurice Dean Wint) is using his technical brains to find a way to talk to the former residents. Phil (Adam Korson) is researching them. And Zooey (Savannah Basley) is keeping everything in order and cleaning up their messes.

They are a team who is missing their leader and a leader who is missing his team. So he shows back up to work and tries to clean a house from the singing boy who eats fingers. There is only one problem. It isn’t a singing boy. So, now his team has to try to get to him before the singing finger eater does.

How will Luke handle doing what he did without his power? What type of supernatural spirits will the agents face this season? So many good questions with one answer. Watch the show!

If you missed the first season, watch it on Peacock! I binged it in a day because it was love at first sight. The show has chemistry, originality, heart, friendship, laughs, and spooks. It is everything you want from a show about selling haunted houses!

SurrealEstate starts selling new episodes in October with Chucky
August 17th, 2023 under Chucky, Syfy. [ Comments: none ]

If you are like me and have been anxiously awaiting new episodes of SurrealEstate and Chucky, then do I have some great news for you. Both series will be back on Syfy on October 4th.

Chucky’s third season will debut on Syfy and USA at 9p and stream on Peacock the next day. That is where you can also watch the first two seasons. And that is all I can tell you for now because that is all they have revealed.

We have all heard of Chucky, but most of you are probably not familiar with SurrealEstate. It is a Canadian import, and it is highly enjoyable. The second season will air on Syfy after Chucky, and the first season is available to stream on Hulu.

Luke Roman (Tim Rozon) is not your normal real estate agent. Yes, he and his team sell houses, but they do a different type of renovation before they put it on the market. Do you know those houses whose past residents won’t leave? As in squatters from a hundred years ago. Well, he and his agents help them move…on, so the new homeowner can move in.

I can’t wait to see what houses they are going to sell this season. Because you never know what story the house is going to tell and how it is going to tell it.

Reginald the Vampire is unlike the other Vampires
October 5th, 2022 under Syfy. [ Comments: none ]

Tonight at 10p get to know Reginald the Vampire on Syfy.

We are used to good looking vampires like Robert Pattison, Ian Somerhalder, and Brad Pitt. However, Jacob Batalon, who plays Reginald, is not like them, and that is what makes him so special.

Reginald is not the best looking guy with some extra pounds on him, and he works at Slushy Shack. He doesn’t have many friends and can’t get the girl he wants.

However, one night he meets two women who are going to change his life and make him undead. Well, not them, but Maurice (Mandela Van Peebles) will take a bite out of him and make him a vampire.

Maurice will be by his side and teach him the ways of a vampire. And their ways are not necessarily the ways we have been taught.

While his sire is all for his creation, the other Vamps are not.

So he has a lot to deal with in his life/death. He still needs to work and deal with being the person who he was before he was bitten. But he also has to deal with being the creature he is now. And that includes sucking on his co-workers.

You are going to root for Reginald the Vampire even though no one is going to do it. It is hard not to like him, and this different take on a classic story we know so well.

Resident Alien crashes back down to Earth on January 26th
December 9th, 2021 under Alan Tudyk, Syfy. [ Comments: none ]

Syfy announced today that Resident Alien will debut its second season on January 26th at 9p. Along with the season premiere, it is going to be joined by the new series Astrid and Lilly Save the World at 10p. Together the combo is creating a Wednesday night of must-watch TV.

Resident Alien is a huge hit, and people are loving the unlovable alien that is played by Alan Tudyk. I want to tell you more about the program, but it is something you have to experience blindly. All I will tell you is that you are going to love it and laugh a lot at things you shouldn’t. So, if you haven’t seen it, then watch the first season on Syfy.com, the app, and OnDemand.

Then at 10p, we get to meet Astrid and Lilly, two high school BFFs who aren’t very popular. After they go to a party and get humiliated, they do a spell that opens a portal that sets things in motion for the apocalypse. Now, they have to fight evil forces to save the World. Can they do it?

We spent the last few years dealing with an evil President who wanted to end the World and a pandemic that made it seem like a reality. So watching two shows that are about the end of the World seems fitting.

More people die on New Amsterdam than Chucky tonight
November 23rd, 2021 under Chucky, NBC, Syfy, USA Network. [ Comments: none ]

Last week on Chucky, Junior (Teo Briones) and Devon (Björgvin Arnarson) both lost their moms to the killer doll. Tonight at 10p on Syfy and USA Network, Junior, Devon, Jake (Zackary Arthur), and Lexy (Alyvia Alyn Lind) deal with the ramifications of their deaths in different ways.

Devon is over his fight against Chucky as he prepares for his life without his mom. Junior doesn’t know about Chucky, and he handles his grief differently. Lexy and Jake will continue the war, but how much longer can they do it, and how much more blood needs to be spilled? All I will tell you is that someone doesn’t make it to the credits.

Meanwhile, we get more of Charles Lee Ray (Brad Dourif) and Tiffany’s (Jennifer Tilly) backstory. We might go into the past for that, but in present-day Tiffany collides with Junior’s dad (Devon Sawa) at the funeral. What does she want from the Wheeler family?

All leads to a shocking ending that will make you wish that it was next week to see what happens next.

If you are not watching Chucky, you are missing the best new horror show in a really long time.

Also at 10p, but on NBC is New Amsterdam. It is Max (Ryan Eggold) and Helen’s last day at New Amsterdam (Freema Agyeman). What could go wrong? A superbug invades the hospital, and patients are dying on every floor. Will it be enough to convince them to stay? All I will say is that we will know their decision at the end of the episode.
