Tonight at 10p on Syfy Eureka airs it series finale and I highly suggest getting the tissues ready because the show gets a perfect sendoff.
The episode picks up with the town packing and getting ready for the next chapter of their lives now that Eureka is shutting down. Since this is Eureka, an experiment will go wrong and one of our town favorites will wind up in pieces. Will they be able to put them back together again or will they remain in a box for an eternity? You will have to tune into find out. By the time the credits role we will have a proposal, a baby announcement, two reunions and a lot of hugs. Plus you will get to see a lot of our favorites return for one last time, and maybe one of them can save our town just in case Syfy realizes they made a huge mistake and decides to bring it back. Which I am still hoping that they will consider doing.
Thank you to all the residents of Eureka for 7 wonderful years, I will sincerely miss you.
Today is Friday the 13th and Chiller is asking Can You Survive A Horror Movie at 9p. Anthony Marks (“Remains”), Annie Unnold (Celebrity Ghost Stories), and Morgan West (“Dead Souls”) go to the real Crystal Lake and test out different horror movie scenarios to see if they can survive it and I will tell you that two out of three will die before the end of show. Between trying to survive a Zombie Attack and being Buried Alive with bugs in the coffin, several experts will share with you how would you be able to survive in horror’s most deadly scenes. They will offer simple suggestions on how to survive. Might seem like you would never need it, but you never know…
I enjoyed this two hour special so much that I hope that Chiller considers making it a weekly competition show.
Tonight at 9p on Syfy Danny Partridge and Greg Brady, I mean Danny Bonaduce and Barry Williams, stop fighting each other long enough to fight the baddest Bigfoot you have ever seen. Bonaduce plays a radio DJ/concert promoter who is planning a huge ’80s rock concert starring Alice Cooper in the woods, so he has been chopping down the trees to make room for it. Williams is his ex-friend and former singer who is trying to stop the concert. A freak snow storm in Seattle will bring Bigfoot out to the show and he is not happy to be woken up from his sleep. So the legendary creature will be going around killing everyone in his path. Will the former-friends, now rivals be able to stop him or will he kill everyone in the small town? You have to tune into this fun campy movie, that was directed by Bruce Davison, to see what happens to believe it. Be prepared to laugh the hardest you have ever laughed since you watched The Brady Bunch and The Partridge Family as a kid.
On that I spoke to your elementary school crushes on a conference call earlier this week and here is what they told me. When asked if it was to get the ’70s stars in the movie Barry Williams said it was easy for him to do it as long as Danny Bonaduce was in it. But he did have one clause, “as long as I can beat him up I’ll do the movie.” I will give you a little spoiler, he got what he wanted. Now when it comes to the red head, he heard that he was cast in the movie two years before he really was. That part was never explained, but it definitely makes an interesting story.
So what are the two men doing now and where can you hear and see them today. Danny is a morning DJ in Seattle for KZOK 102.5 and you can listen to him online if you are not in Washington. Barry is in Branson, Mo doing a live show called A Brady Lunch with Greg Brady. He described it as “I have the new Brady Bunch kids with me. So they are all…in costume, original choreography. We’re doing all the music. It’s multimedia. It’s, you know, I’m using support clips and graphics and photos and stories.” So if you are in Branson, it is a must see. When I asked them if there is any chance that they would do a tour together like Debbie Gibson and Tiffany did after Mega Piranha vs Gatoroid, they didn’t count it out they just don’t know what they would do. So if some brilliant promoter could come up with something, they are ready for it and I am ready to see it.
Tonight at 9p Syfy goes buggy with Arachnoquake. New Orleans experiences an earthquake, but the ground shaking is not the worst part. The quake has unleashed prehistoric spiders on to the city and they can breath fire. Spiders that can hurl fire at you sounds pretty awful, but did I mention they are whole lot bigger than your average eight-legged bug? Now it is up to tour guide Paul (Bug Hall), Roy, his disapproving dad (Ethan Phillips) and passenger Katelynn (Tracey Gold) to stop these killer spiders before they kill all of us. Will they be able to do it or will we all be spider food? Tune in to Griff Furst’s latest Syfy exciting thriller to find out.
BTW if you have any cobwebs in your house remove them before you watch the film because the last thing you will want to see is a spider after this horror movie.
Tonight at 9p on Syfy they are giving us the movie we have wanted for years, Jersey Shore Shark Attack. Back in 1916, sharks attacked the Jersey Shore and now they are back to do the same. Sadly for the sharks The Complication (Jeremy Luke), Nooki (Melissa Molinaro), Paulie Balzac (Daniel Booko), Donnie (Joey Russo), J-Moni (Alex Mauriello) are here to save the day.
JSSA is a campy fun horror movie that doesn’t take itself seriously and because of that you are going to love this flick.
I know I didn’t write a long drawn out review to describe this movie, but basically it is a lot fun and the title pretty much spells out what it is about. What it doesn’t tell you is that you are going to enjoy this film more than you thought you could have and just watching the trailer above already has you excited for it. So watch it tonight because you don’t want to miss Joey Fatone become shark food.
