Saturday Night Live will be live from 30 Rock
September 10th, 2020 under Saturday Night Live. [ Comments: none ]

Back in the spring when production was halted because of the coronavirus pandemic, NBC came up with an interesting way to produce Saturday Night Live. The actors went live from their homes instead of from their studio at Rockefeller Center.

Now that two of the alumni, Jimmy Fallon and Seth Meyers, have been going live-to-tape from 30 Rock again, NBC is letting them go home for their 46th season.

We do not know who will be hosting the show’s season premiere on October 3rd, but I hope they get Steve Martin to do it. If he doesn’t do it, then Alec Baldwin could beat him out for the host who has hosted the mostest. Is mostest a word?

Anyways, it will be interesting to see how they do it with all of the regulations that the unions have put on Hollywood because of COVID-19. Everyone else who has gone live has been seated and 6′ apart. How do you do that when you have to play off someone?

I betcha there are two members of the current cast who are happy they won’t be on top of each other. They are Weekend Update’s Colin Jost and Michael Che. They will need bullhorns to do the news.

Is Pete Davidson leaving SNL?
June 8th, 2020 under Pete Davidson, Saturday Night Live. [ Comments: none ]

Now that Pete Davidson is a movie star, is he ready to leave the show that made him a star? Especially after he dissed his co-workers at Saturday Night Live in an interview.

He spoke to Entertainment Tonight, and told them, “I think I’m very lucky to be on that show. And I’m really lucky to have Lorne Michaels as, you know, not only a mentor and a boss but a friend. I’ll be there as long as they allow it.”

Who else was hoping that both parties were ready to move on because he adds nothing to the sketches?

Dr. Anthony Fauci is so getting fired over this
April 26th, 2020 under Brad Pitt, Saturday Night Live. [ Comments: none ]

Saturday Night Live was back on our televisions yesterday, and Dr. Anthony Fauci got his dream casting. That is because Brad Pitt played him the cold open.

You know when Donald Trump finds this out, he is going to fire the medical expert due to jealously. Fauci gets a stud, and Trump got a bloated has-been dud. No offense to Alec Baldwin, but he hasn’t been a Brad Pitt since last century.

What I want to know is how this casting came about. On April 10th, Dr. Fauci told CNN’s New Day that he would prefer if Pitt played him. Thus, I want to know if Pitt called SNL or SNL called him. I am hoping for the former.

Saturday Night Live goes live again on Saturday
April 9th, 2020 under Coronavirus, Saturday Night Live. [ Comments: none ]

Saturday Night Live has been dark for several weeks because of Coronavirus, but this Saturday they are going live again from all over New York.

How they are going to do bits remotely, we don’t know. However, NBC says they will have Weekend Update as part of the show. I have a feeling we will shed a tear during that segment because Michael Che’s grandmother lost her battle to COVID-19.

When it comes to the host and the musical guest, they did not mention any names in the press release. I say they should have Lorne Michaels host and Kanye West sing. This way, as soon as Kanye starts, they can shut off his feed! I am sure a lot of people would love to do that to him on the show.

Pete Davidson is ready to leave SNL
February 25th, 2020 under Pete Davidson, Saturday Night Live. [ Comments: none ]

Pete Davidson sat down with Charlamagne tha Gd for about an hour, and he talked about rehab, his ex-girlfriends, being suicidal, and Saturday Night Live. When it comes to the latter, he hinted he is ready to move on. Not only that, he does not sound like a fan of most of his co-workers.

Davidson started off his comments on it by saying he thinks he should be done with the show because his co-stars make fun of him on it. He elaborated that he does not know if he is the joke or he is in on the joke.

When the comedian was asked if it feels like a family there, he had high praise for Lorne Michaels. Then he said it is “a cutthroat f^cking show.” He feels that everyone wants to get their sketch on the air, and will do anything to make it happen.

Davidson also thinks he has outgrown the sketch comedy show. It feels like it is time to move on. However, he will wait for Michaels to give him the old heave-ho.

It is not that he is ungrateful, he admits the show has made him a better comedian and writer.

When it comes to him leaving, I say it cannot happen soon enough. He just comes off as a huge a$$hole. I don’t get what all these women see in him. Whatever they do see in him, does not seem to last long.
