BTWF: Rick Springfield in Wonder Woman
December 22nd, 2021 under Before They Were Famous, Rick Springfield. [ Comments: none ]

Before Rick Springfield’s face was on the cover of all the teeny bopper magazines, it was covered up on Wonder Woman. He looks the same now as he did when he was 29 in that 1979 episode.

Who wants to see two dicks in a concert?
June 14th, 2021 under Richard Marx, Rick Springfield. [ Comments: none ]

Now that concerts are resuming, it is time for the Dicks to hit the road. Who wants to see two of them share the stage. Not Kanye West and Kid Rock, but Richard Marx and Rick Springfield. The only dickish thing about the latter two is their first name!

So if you want to see what Marx calls the Dick Squared Tour, then you can buy tickets starting on the 17th. I am sure there are several women getting their granny panties in a bunch over this news. Are you one of them? If not, then it is the perfect gift to get your mom for a belated Mothers’ Day present.

Coheed and Cambria give Rick Springfield’s Jessie’s Girl a sequel
August 21st, 2020 under Rick Springfield. [ Comments: none ]

It has been almost 40 years since Rick Springfield professed his love for Jessie’s Girl. In all of that time, not only have we wondered who she is, but we also wanted to know if the Rocker got his friend’s loved?

Well, the band Coheed and Cambria wondered the same thing, so they wrote a song about it. In their follow-up, they give it a Meat Loaf Paradise in the Dashboard Light twist. However, the best part is they got Springfield to sing his own verse and star in the music video. Proving that he is still just as sexy now as he was when he was pursuing Jessie’s Girl in 1981. Heck, he looks even better.

When it comes to the 2020 tune, it is just as fun as the original. I never heard of this band before, but I plan to spend the day to listening to their other songs. If you need me, then call me at the number the provided in the video. You know, 867-5309.

If you could write a sequel to any song, what would it be?

Rick Springfield reworks Love Somebody to Glove Somebody

Rick Springfield recently changed up Human Touch to No Human Touch to make it relevant for coronavirus, and it was a huge hit. Therefore, he is following it up with another song. He reworked his hit song Love Somebody from his movie Hard To Hold to something that makes it hard to hold thing, glove. Now, we will know the tune as Glove Somebody with lyrics to match.

Incredibly, it works. I wonder what is next, Don’t Touch the Strangers, Please Walk Away, Jessie’s Test, or State of the World?

A reworking of “Human Touch”😷Lyrics below: EVERYONE'S AT HOME ON THEIR COMPUTER WITH THEIR SCREAMING KIDS AND BURNED OUT SPOUSE, GOT RUBBER GLOVES AND HAZMAT SUITS BUT GOT NO TOILET PAPER IN THE HOUSE, WERE SANITIZED AND ISOLATED ALONE IN THIS INFECTED WORLD, DEATH VALLEY’D BE A REAL GOOD BATTLE LINE, A TENT RIGHT IN THE MIDDLE WOULD SUIT ME FINE, WOULDN’T HAVE TO WASH MY HANDS FIFTY TIMES, SICK OF COUNTING TO 20, STEP BACK GIRL… WE DON’T NEED THE HUMAN TOUCH, WE’RE ALL FREED FROM THE HUMAN TOUCH, GOT MY WEED YEAH I DON’T NEED MUCH, WE’LL SUCCEED IF WE ALL DON’T TOUCH, SOCIAL DISTANCE! I KEEP IT TOO! NO I DON’T TOUCH MY FACE – I USE MY ELBOW WHEN I NEED TO SNEEZE, AND IF I COUGH ON THE STREET YEAH THEY ALL LOOK AT ME LIKE IM DISEASED, I CAN'T GET TESTED BUT TRUMP ASSURED ME I COULD GO GET ONE ANYTIME,
UH HUH, THE STORES ARE EMPTY OF THE STUFF I LIKE, MY ONLY VALID OPTION IS A HUNGER STRIKE, I'VE CANCELLED ALL MY GIGS AND PUT AWAY MY MIC, YOU GOT LOVE I WANT IT! FROM WAY OVER THERE! WE DON’T NEED THE HUMAN TOUCH, WE DON’T NEED THE HUMAN TOUCH, GOT MY WEED YEAH I DON’T NEED MUCH, WE’LL SUCCEED IF WE ALL DON’T TOUCH, SOCIAL DISTANCE! I KEEP IT TOO!

ack in 1983, Rick Springfield told us we all need the Human Touch. In 2020, you don’t dare say that because of Coronavirus. Therefore, he rewrote his tune to make it appropriate for today’s world.

Since we all need to sing and laugh, he posted his version of We Don’t Need the Human Touch on Instagram. I cannot say it is better than the original. What I can say is that it is exactly what we all need!

If you never heard the catchy tune that was ahead of its time, then click here!
