How to Look Good Naked premieres on Lifetime tonight at 9p and can I tell you it is so much better than I thought. I have to admit that I was not a fan of Carson Kreesley when he was on Queer Eye for the Straight Guy, but I have so fallen in love with him since I started watching him on Crowned and now Naked. He is so lovable and sincere as he helps women of all sizes look good naked. Plus us women get really good tips on to make ourselves look better clothed as seen in the clip.
What is really interesting about this show is the way they perceive their bodies and they way they actually are. You will simply be amazed how the women will be asked to compare themselves again 5 women of different sizes from largest to smallest and they need to place themselves where they see themselves on the line and not one in the three episodes I saw got it right. All placed themselves at the largest part of the line adding several inches to their size. It is just stuff like that that will blow you away.
The shows have woman that are a little overweight to women who are normal sized all who are not happy with their bodies and in one week Carson helps them all feel comfortable with who they are and what they got.
Not only does he effect them, he effects us! I have learned so much from watching the first 3 episodes of the season, I scheduled a nude photoshoot. Just joking about the photoshoot, but I really did learn a lot!
So watch How to Look Good Naked tonight and every Friday at 9p and learn how to look good naked!!!
So when Lifetime sent me Top This Party, I thought this show is going to be crap, and boy I was beyond wrong. This show is awesome! OMG! Rich Real Estate women in Orange County, Ca who have had way too much plastic surgery hire a party planner to throw their parties for around $100,000! Seriously doesn’t that sound like must-watch TV! It really is!
Tonight’s episode deals with some spoiled woman and her, Lucy Lui circa Ally McBeal wanting be, assistant wanting to throw a $100,000 divorce party. First they wanted to roast a pig on a boat at sea, but got mad at the party planner when they were it was a no-go because it was illegal. Then they get mad when their new party entrance is also against the law and he can’t make that happen. Tune into see what the entrance was that they wanted and watch them throw temper tantrums that make a 2 year old look calm.
Next week’s is even better when a woman wants to throw a Halloween party for $150,000 and the psychic the party planner wants to use tells her it is going to go bad. What is fun about this episode is because the woman looks like she had one too many facelifts and botox treatment she tries to makes facial expressions, but her face is way too stiff to move!
Top That Party premieres on Lifetime tonight at 10p and believe you will appreciate going to a party that costs $100 after you see how the rich party!!!
I have to admit I am a Johnny-Come-Lately when it comes to The CW’s Gossip Girl, and as they say better late than never. I have seen the next two episodes of the show and I am way hooked. I was afraid of starting mid-way through the first season of the show, that I would be completely lost but I was able to follow along and I think I am caught up with what I missed. So if you like me, fear not and check out this hot new hit!
Tomorrow’s episode (that follows the must watch Crowned) at 9p is about how secrets bring the group of friends together and then apart, stuff will be revealed, lovers will be willing to take the dive to save the other, everyone has their price and a mother sacrifices for her child. How amazing does that sound, you have to tune in to see it all play out. It made me wish I went to a HS like theirs and at the same time I was grateful I am done with my HS years.
Another bonus about tomorrows episode is that British hottie Chuck, Ed Westwick’s band The Filthy Youth will have two songs featured on episode. You will be able to hear TFY’s Come Flash All You Ladies (below) and Orange. Let me tell you I played around on The Filthy Youth’s MySpace page and his music is good as his acting. In ways his character Chuck reminds me of Queer As Folk’s Brian Kinney, a good looking a$$hole that has a deeply hidden heart of gold.
Just like when you were upset that your lunch period was over in school, you will feel that way all over again when the show’s credits roll. So check out Gossip Girl tomorrow at 9p on The CW, it is the smartest thing you do…well since well HS that is!
It’s Christmastime, and while most husbands and wives are celebrating this season of togetherness, estranged couple Suzanne and Jim have nearly given up on their marriage. During a trip, the two become stranded in a snowstorm and are forced to reevaluate their lives, both together and separately. Their daughter, Taryn, who was left at home, has no choice but to pray for a miracle as workers search for her parents. Can Suzanne and Jim find their way back to each other in the middle of a deadly snowstorm? This true story, starring Dylan Walsh (“Nip/Tuck”) and Jami Gertz (“Still Standing”), will keep you guessing and warm your heart. Lost Holiday is a feel good movie about rediscovering love and family during a tragic time.
I have to admit this movie had me when I saw that Dylan Walsh and Jami Gertz in it. (Still Standing is my weekday guilty pleasure, in fact I am watching it now.) But once I started watching the movie it was so much more than just these two. Lost Holiday is about a divorcing couple getting together for their kids for Christmas. Jim convinces uptight Suzanne to go snowmobiling and after they explore the mountain they get lost and caught in the storm. Will Jim and Suzanne be found before its too late and how will her mom and their daughters deal with them missing. It is a great story that will leave you crying and hopeful that love can be rekindled.
So tune into Lost Holiday tonight on Lifetime at 9p!
After what seems like years of waiting Duran Duran's Red Carpet Massacre is finally out and it is better than I ever thought it was going to be.
Duran Duran is a band that has always been ahead of the time musically and with music videos and Red Carpet Massacre is no different than their other albums in that front. While there sound is still Duran Duran, it has modernized to keep up with the times, in fact I think in ways it is way ahead of their time. I will be honest when I heard they were working with the Timbers (Justin Timberlake and Timbaland) I was not looking forward to the album. But I am here to tell you I was wrong because the tracks that they worked on are just as good as the others and helped to shape the sound of the album. The thing that brings this whole album together is Simon Le Bon's distinctive voice that just calls you in! Now when I listen to a CD, I listen to see if there is a hit on it and here is a list of all the songs I think are potential hits:
1. The Valley
2. Red Carpet Massacre
3. Nite-Runner
4. Falling Down
5. Box full o' Honey
6. Skin Divers
7. Tempted
8. Tricked Out
9. Zoom In
10. She's Too Much
11. Dirty Great Monster
12. Last Man Standing
Yes that is the whole track listing! Everyone of those songs could easily be a hit!
So whether you have been a Duranie since the '80s or are looking for a really good album to listen to then Red Carpet Massacre is the one for you!
Thank G-d Duran Duran stood the test of time is all this die hard Duranie can say!!!
