The Traitors just wrapped production on season 3, and Peacock is not waiting to order not one but two more cycles of the Emmy-nominated competition series.
Alan Cumming will be back to host the competitors in a Scotland castle who have to guess who are the traitors among them. Sounds easy, but it isn’t. Their deceit to their fellow castle mates is fun to watch, which is why we keep tuning in.
When can we tune in for season 3? The Hollywood Reporter says we will have to wait until the New Year.
It has been 14 years since Gary Coleman passed away, and there is still a lot of curiosity about his controversial and not-so-easy life. Peacock is going to tell his story on August 29th.
GARY follows the extraordinary story of Gary Coleman’s rise to international fame as the child star of Diff’rent Strokes; his struggles with fame; and the controversy surrounding his tragic death at the age of 42. For the first time, viewers will get insight into Coleman’s private world through exclusive interviews with his fellow actors, industry insiders and his estranged ex-wife, Shannon Price, and parents, Willie and Susan Coleman.
This documentary has me intrigued, so I will be watching!
The Traitors is the best new reality show in a long time. However, Peacock is ruining it by having D-list reality show celebrities who love to fake it compete.
The first season was so good because there were also lay people who competed. Last season, it was almost reality stars, and this season is the same.
The problem with that is that the more seasons the streaming service does, the shittier the names are.
Who is competing this season?
Rob Mariano — “Survivor”
Dorinda Medley — “The Real Housewives of New York City”
Chrishell Stause —“Selling Sunset”
Britney Haynes —“Big Brother”
Danielle Reyes —“Big Brother”
Bob the Drag Queen —“RuPaul’s Drag Race”
Wells Adams —“The Bachelorette” and “Bachelor in Paradise”
Chanel Ayan —“The Real Housewives of Dubai”
Gabby Windey —“The Bachelorette”
Dylan Efron —“Down to Earth with Zac Efron”
Tony Vlachos—“Survivor”
Jeremy Collins —“Survivor”
Dolores Catania —“The Real Housewives of New Jersey”
Robyn Dixon —“The Real Housewives of Potomac”
Bob Harper —“The Biggest Loser”
Ciara Miller —“Summer House”
Lord Ivar Mountbatten — British royal
Carolyn Wiger —“Survivor”
Sam Asghari — Model and actor
Tom Sandoval —“Vanderpump Rules”
Nikki Garcia — Former Professional Wrestler
I really hope it is going to be better than I think it is going to be. If the worse comes to worse, I will just watch the UK version instead.
The Traitors is the most buzzed about new reality show in a really long time. Its numbers are so big on Peacock that it was the #1 unscripted series in the U.S. across all streaming platforms during its second season premiere week in January, according to Nielsen.
Not only that, it also won an Emmy for Outstanding Casting for a Reality Program at the Primetime Emmy Awards for its first season.
So, with all of that being said. It should be no surprise that Peacock announced today that it picked up the series for a third season, and Alan Cumming will be back to host The Traitors and the Faithfuls at the Scottish castle.
The Traitors is a nail-biting psychological adventure in which treachery and deceit are the name of the game. Entertainment’s most competitive reality stars and famous faces play the ultimate murder mystery game. Hosted by award-winning actor Alan Cumming at an ancient castle set deep in the Scottish Highlands, contestants work together on a series of exhilarating missions to build a prize fund worth up to $250,000. Hidden amongst the Faithful are the Traitors, whose goal is to eliminate the Faithful and claim the prize for themselves. Under the cover of darkness, the Traitors murder the Faithful one by one in a treacherous spree, while the Faithful try to uncover the Traitors and banish them from the game. If the Faithful contestants banish all the Traitors, they will share the prize fund, but if a Traitor or Traitors makes it to the end, they will steal all the money.
If you haven’t been watching, then you can catch the first season and half of this one on Peacock. And then, when you are done, make sure to stream The Traitors in Australia and The UK. The latter one is so good! I can’t wait until their second season starts streaming on our side of the pond.
Tonight at 9p on Peacock, The Traitors pick up with the traitors meeting up. Phaedra confronts Parvati for calling out the Housewives during the Banishment ceremony, and she feels that puts a bullseye on her back. Can these two work together again after that?
Whether they can or not, they still have to pick someone to kill. Who will they agree on? And how will the Faithfuls feel when the murdered person doesn’t show up for breakfast?
And all of the players shouldn’t take that person’s chair away too quickly because Kate from season one is back, and all she wants to do is cause trouble. She wastes no time in doing that. How will everyone react to her?
You are just going to have to see in the wildest Banishment ceremony to date.
This show gets increasingly more conniving with each episode, and that is why we love it so much.
Over on The CW at 8p, Son of a Critch is back for its third season, and Mark (Benjamin Evan Ainsworth) has gone through some changes. He (the actor) has hit puberty. Therefore, he has grown a few inches, and his voice is a lot deeper.
And that is a good thing since he is in grade 9, and he should not be messed with since it is his final year of middle school. Will he finally be the bully, or will he still be bullied?
Even though there is a lot of change going on, he still has his two friends, Fox (Sophia Powers) and Ritchie (Mark Rivera), and they are looking forward to being grade niners. Will it be all they hope it will be? It is only the first day of school, so we will have to keep watching this endearing comedy about growing up in Canada in the late ’80s to find out.
