Eli Roth’s Thanksgiving is coming this Thanksgiving
April 4th, 2023 under Camryn and Milo Manheim, Eli Roth, Patrick Dempsey. [ Comments: none ]

Back in 2007, Eli Roth made a trailer for a fake movie called Thanksgiving that was part of the Grindhouse movies Planet Terror and Death Proof.

Sixteen years later, that trailer is becoming a reality. The movie is currently filming in Massachusetts and stars Patrick Dempsey, Rick Hoffman, Addison Rae, Gina Gershon, and Milo Manheim.

Not much is known, but Roth wrote this with the date announcement, “Arrive hungry. Leave stuffed. #ThanksgivingMovie only in cinemas November 17th. This year, there will be no leftovers. 🔪🦃”

This news makes me so happy because I watch Horror movies based on the holiday on the day of that holiday. And I desperately need a break from Thankskilling and Thankskilling 3. So, I hope this is good because there are not enough Turkey Day horror movies to choose from.

This is not the first fake trailer from the Grindhouse film to become a feature. In 2010, Robert Rodriguez released Machete with Danny Trejo.

Disenchanted looks enchanting
September 10th, 2022 under Amy Adams, Disney Kids, Patrick Dempsey. [ Comments: none ]

Did Enchanted need a sequel? Nope. But we are getting one this Thanksgiving with Amy Adams and Patrick Dempsey reprising their roles.

Is that a bad thing? By the looks of the trailer, far from it. It is the type of me that can be enjoyed by the whole family. And we need more of those. Because if you saw the stuff my nieces force me to watch, you too would be looking forward to something as darling as this film, especially since I am going to have to watch it over and over and over and over again.

Before Patrick Dempsey was helping drug addicts on Grey’s Anatomy, he was addicted to The Stuff. How cute was the 17-year-old in that 1985 movie?

There is talk about a Sweet Home Alabama sequel!
April 17th, 2019 under Patrick Dempsey, Reese Witherspoon/Ryan Phillippe. [ Comments: none ]

Josh Lucas was on Good Morning America today and they asked him if there could ever be a sequel to his movie Sweet Home Alabama with Reese Witherspoon and Patrick Dempsey. Then he gave them and all of us a very sweet answer.

He says that he just worked on a movie with Andy Tennant, who wrote and directed SHA, and the two of them talked about it extensively while filming The Secret with Katie Holmes. Now they are lobbying for the follow-up film to be made.

Not only did he confirm they are talking about doing a sequel, but he also revealed what it is about at this stage in the planning game. Witherspoon is back in NYC raising their kids while he is in Alabama because they got a divorce. To make it worse for people who are Team Jake, Patrick Dempsey is still in the picture.

Someone call Disney because this movie needs to be made ASAP.

Before Patrick Dempsey bought his girlfriend in Can’t Buy Me Love, he was trying to sell tickets in Fast Times. How dreamy was the 20 year old in that 1986 episode?
